Any new car with the Starion name will inevitably be a disappointment to true Starion enthusiasts. Plus the Starion name isn't well known enough to be an exciting revival for sales.
As cool as it would be to get a new retro Starion, I doubt it would ever be designed the way we want, and I doubt it'll ever happen period.

Just wanted to let you know that I got my set of wheels in last week and they're turning out REALLY nice. I stripped, sanded and polished each of them so far and they cleaned up extremely well. Going to go over them again with the polish and then paint the centers, but they're already looking great!

slightly off topic, but my local friend (who was selling that nice SHP set to which i linked a few posts ago) is also selling a refinished/relipped set of BBS RS wheels in damn-near-perfect Starion sizing, in case any of you guys are trying to ball out.
centers/caps repainted with automotive grade primer/color/clear from a gun, excellent quality. brand new lips (2.5" and 3.5" if i recall correctly). polished hardware. resealed barrels. 16x9.5 +10 with 225/50/16s and 16x10.5 +10 with 245/45/16s. and 5x114.3 bolt pattern of course.

everything is dismounted. the SHP set in front (as seen in the linked craiglist ad a few posts up) has been sold, and the two massive 3-piece things in the back are pending. all other wheels are still for sale.
$200/pair for any of the six 16x8 -10 wheels.
$300/pair for the polished 16x9 +0 wheels.

the other guy who wanted the x8 pair and x9 pair backed out. go figure.

p.s. if any of the are looking to buy a full SHP set, my good friend down the road picked these up recently and is looking to sell them. i've seen em in person. these are by far the straightest cleanest SQ wheels i've ever seen (and that's saying something! look how many i've owned!), and the tires all have excellent tread. i'm sure he'd rather try to sell locally, but asking him to ship is definitely worth a try.

yep, no doubt. common bolt pattern, awesome sizes, low offsets, great face design, big stepped lips, super lightweight... they win hands down. their only downfall is being 16" since finding wide 16" tires (i.e. 245/45s) is nearly impossible these days

between myself and a few local friends, we own (or have recently owned) all the wheels from... at least 4 SHPs and at least 5 or 6 base models... i've already lost count. we're well into the 30's of SQ wheels. Craigslist is a wonderful invention

i have no idea, and neither did the previous owner. they're 3-pc aluminum wheels, but god knows how old. no stampings, no casting identifications, nothing. 16x10 +0 and craaaazy lightweight. pending sale on that pair to a local dude, but if he falls through i'll add them to this FS thread.

- six 16x8 -10 Starion rear wheels (two pairs leaning against the door and a pair leaning against the front bumper). a bit of curb rash on a couple wheels, but nothing major.
- $SOLD per pair.
- a few pairs of 245/45/16 tires. pretty rare size these days, very difficult to find. Toyo R888, Goodyear Eagle, Kumho Supra. lots of tread left on all three pairs. $SOLD for the R888s, $SOLD for the Goodyears and Kumhos.
[sorry no pics of the tires specifically, though you can see the R888s and Goodyears mounted in some of the pics. i'll try to get more shots up later this week.]

Most of the guys around here wont have a problem with you having all of those rims. (Although we'd all like to have them back for our cars
) If most of these folks are honest with ourselves, we know that they are desirable for alot of other vehicle types, and shoud be proud that our factory rims are so sought after. When/if you get ready to sell them, post em up here and Im sure you wont have any problem selling the 9's. The 8's are much more common but you may be able to sell them easily enough also, if they arent beat all to crap.BC_99
edit: BTW the lil finger flippin thing you posted is against site rules, (family/work friendly site) Im kinda suprised a mod hasnt pulled it and warned you about it already. You way wanna take it down to avoid the fuss. Either way, nice looking car.

lol and for the record (before someone gets needlessly mad) i was being sarcastic above. when i get around to selling them, of course i'll post them here first, haha. i'd honestly rather sell them to starion owners than to other s-chassis guys since i know you folks will be much more likely to take good care of em.

hey! i recognize that car! it's sitting in my driveway! and all those wheels are on my back deck!
i actually joined this forum because i'll be selling all these wheels in the next few months. i figured this would be a great place to sell them, since some of you die-hard starion guys would really want the original wheels.
...but if you guys are gonna be so easily butthurt about me putting your prized wheels on a 240...
