tearing down my engine and the piston tops are stamped with 54T. is that the stock piston? thanks in advance foir your help!

Hey Tyler Yes thats it I bought it from nate! It was running before I started tearing it apart. But I am in the middle of the same two into one project. I thought the red one was nates? maybe not......saw his tahoe in the backround. Are you the one with the porsche's ?

FROM ONE NEWBIE TO ANOTHER WELCOME

Well got the motor and trans pulled today from the donor car..... Hopefully all goes well !!!!

Hey guys My name is Jason, Ive been looking at this site for years now. Ive been messing around with cars since I was 14 and have had a lot of fun over the years , and I have always admired the STARQUEST and now I finally got my first starion. Actually I got two of them. My first purchas was a 1988 Silver starion, auto 56k miles that didnt run when I got it. Got it running and driving after sorting out a mess of wiring the previous owner did and getting some new injectors from trilogy. As I said it has an auto transmission and I wanted to eventually convert to manual but after reading the posts on this forum and taking your advice I knew I should have a donor car with all the manual goodies needed. That being said I didnt want to buy a starquest that was capable of being road worthy and hack it up.About 8 months go by and One afternoon screwing around on Craigslist I found a 1987 Conquest with Manual Transmission but it needs interior. Went and checked it out apparantly the guy who had it for sale was a muscle car guy who got the Conquest as payment from someone who he did work for. He had no Idea what the car was or what it was capable of. So as I was saying the prior owner had made a horrible attempt at making it a scca track car, but the car ran and drove, so I bought that one figuring I could use it for parts on my Starion. Anyhow I would like to introduce myself and say thanks for all the great information you guys have put up over the years. It really is helpful and great that you all are so pasionate about these cars. Hope to have a lot of fun with it and hopefully make a few new friends along the way.
