  1. Hey all, I've got a friend upstate NY who rolled his car a few months ago. Most of the good stuff is gone, but the block, tranny, rear end, wheels, and a few other things are still left on the car, it's a red 88 auto with 92K miles on it and it will be crushed in a matter of weeks.

If anyone is interested, let me know, you would have to go up yourself and pull whatever you might need, as he has no tools or ability to pull them himself. Prices will be dirt cheap, and the car is located in Kingston, N.Y. exit 19 on the NY Thruway. zactek@aol.com

    Thanks, Zack K.

Tell me about the block from what you know. Still in one piece with or without head?

Crank spinning fine? stock? Orignal with 92K?

    Thanks

  2. I told him to, he is really good at welding (His cousin is even better :D ) i really suck at welding. if you use the w58 transmission u dont have to cut anything. If you use the r154 u have to cut out the outer skin of the tunnel and bang it out to fit.

Could you use a stock 2JZ auto in a 5/sp Quest tunnel without bangin it out?

  3. I also have a 19C with the TD06 wheel and its at full boost as soon as your foot hits the floor. As a matter of fact that's the turbo I ran the 11.90 with. I can't imagine anyone who runs one on a G54B saying it spools slow. If it does something else is wrong with the engine setup.

    BP

Thats pretty impressive...What type of power were you putting out and was that with a full

weight TBI car? Sounds like the benchmark. I would like to hear about your setup.

  4. I'd put the 18g back on, it makes more power. You ever hear of a C wheel on a dsm or evo? hells no. 16G minimum.

It's the exhaust side of the Sy/Ty (TD06 17c) turbo that seems to make the power and pull up top where a 5H falls off. The 17c compressor wheel is for quick spool up to like 20psi. A TD06 17c flows 550 cfm right there with an 18g. Supposedly flows up to 380HP. IMO a great little

Street TBI turbo. Thats what I ran on a stock motor. I'm not sure but, more boost with a G style TD06 compressor wheel

would require more fuel then stock injectors. I don't think a TD05 16 or 18G would make more power then a

    Syclone/Typhone TD06. Correct me if i'm wrong

  5. Well i was able to make it to the dyno day late in the day. I swapped on a 17c tdo5h. I always liked this turbo and since i had to change a power steering high pressure hose i had to take off some stuff anyway.

My 3" exhaust really woke the car up. Duh, should have upgraded a long time ago.

17c tdo5h 50% E85 50% 93. First run 20 psi last two 22 psi. These are uncorrected #'s. Corrected is in the 280-285 / 370-380 range at 22psi. I have been driving it like this confident the e85 will keep detonation at bay. This set up starts to spool about 2000 and hits 22psi about 100 rpm sooner than the 18g.

Try putting on a TD06H on your 17c....It will outflow that 5H like you have no idea and keep pullin up top.

4g63's dont have the exhaust flow of the g54b and the 6h slows their spool alot. Thats why their better off

with the 5H on the street. I ran the Sy/Ty Td06 17c and it pulled till 6k. quick spool too.

  6. its the whole wideband kit, no wires are exposed, its just the rubber coating around the plastic junction box, and only the back side got hot, not where it says innovative. kit works good, i have an aem in my lightning and i like how that one works and looks. thats why the switch.

Okay cool. Let me know whenever you ready to accept payment. That's if it's not sold. Thanks

  7. blacked out face with blue led lettering. switched to aem wideband so this is up for grabs. $60 shipped, comes with original box, directions, cables, weld in bung and software. only has 500 miles on it. part of the rubber around the junction box melted a little but unit works fine, just cosmetic.

Is this for the DB gauge only or the whole wideband KIT including the LC-1, and Bosch sensor that retails

over $200? If so that a mint deal and I'll buy if the other guy dosen't.

  8. I have a brand new treadstone header that i bought to use but have gone a different route B).It comes with a block off plate for the wastegate, pics available upon request.T-3 flanged

200.00 bucks shipped in the U.S.A

I'll be a backup if the first guy doesn't work out......BTW what is your "Different Route" and

Wheres a good spot to pick up this manifold? Thanks

  9. um no i dont think i did, it will be at the meet though. seems to work great, all the restriction is in the turbo housing and not the header. the turbo housing was glowing red after a pull and not the header. thats where all the heat is supposed to be generated.

Just read this, sounds very promising are you in fact going to build and sell them still?

  10. Great numbers, proof of how carefuly matched part selection can yield great prerformance, with out having to run "stoopid boost" levels.

So I guess it's official, my headder "doesn't suck" ;) (refering to another old thread stating it wouldn't add much, if any performance).

What's the deal with the header how much are they going for? How does one go about buying one from Chad?

Not for anything I think a nice header is big on the G54.....all the fuel and air you want only to be held up

by a bottle necked exhaust mani and small turbine.

  11. I'm wondering if anyone runs one of these too. I know the benefit that a header will bring for the 54

but I don't know how this piece will hold up. Looks like it will crack instantly. Anyone know about

the vendor? warranty? By the way $189 is cheap for a header.

  12. Can't wait for the game tonight! My little texas rangers team has finally become a serious contender. This area is buzzing like crazy at a possible world series trip. I know you boston guys have our back lol.

Yeah we are. Lookin for #28. Much respect for Your Rangers but LETS GO YANKEES!!!

And to think we had Cliff Lee before you guys swooped in with a better offer at the

    23rd hr.
