Ok since i picked up another car that runs to mess with i am in need of room so im gonna have to get rid of this car. ill get another one down the road but for now this one has got to go. anyway its an 88 it is black it has no body damage. the lenses on the tail lights are cracked. there is a tiny bit of rust on the passenger side above the side vents the rust is not majot but it is starting to lift the paint the previous owner had the car repainted the paint still looks great could use a buff and shine the clear is not peeling or anything. it has the stock wheels with decent tires. it is a 5speed car
comes with a dis assembled motor that may be rebuildable in the right persons hands. the head has 2 cracks in the center combustion chamber. the flywheel is still good and so are all the accessories and the clutch has some life still. comes with5 speed transmission. all of which is out of the car. the trubo has NO shaft play whatsoever and the intercooler is still on the front of the car and looks to be in good condition. the seats have no rips and are in good condition the front and rear seats and carpet and shifter are out of the car but will come with the car when sold

the seats are cloth and they are kinda purplish blue???? im not really sure dont know much about these cars option wise just the motors is all i have researched. im located in corpus christi. id let the seats go 300 plus shipping for the pair
the flywheel and trans are from an 88 actually everything is from an 88.... im unsure condition of the flywheel that being said id take 150 plus shipping for it. and the flywheel ill take 50 plus shipping for it
again im just posting these prices so it doesnt get locked im open to offers and im not really sure what this stuff goes for

helps tremendously........ the mustang donor we went to look at today is not as nice as i hoped so were still searching for a reliable donor motor. also talking with a guy in florida with a stock motor freshly rebuilt with a few goodies so may still go with the stock motor.....which i dont like i personally think the g54b is a retarded crappy design considering how much the heads crack

well we are gonna go check out a carbed mustang today for a good price so this is more of a project i would like to make it FI just for mpg and power reasons. i would prefer to keep it a manual trans car but im not sure how to do the clutch and what not. im not completly understanding how to use the toyota slave cylinder im mainly trying to get the main components in to get the motor mocked in the bay...... and what all can i remove from the bay cause its a rats nest....

yeah no pan the mains and rod ends have been removed along with the water,oil,pump and just about every other gosh darn thing on the motor. so we decided lets yank it and run it over to a machine shop and see if it can be saved.....

Ok so the g54b that came in the 88 starion i recently purchased is poo and i cant find a replacement and it cant be rebuilt SOOOOOO
im gonna swap the damn thing.
on account of it seems to be the easiest to swap i have chosen the 302/5.0 swap
i can get my hands on one of these motors for a decent price So my question is WHAT THE HELL DO I NEED
i know from reading just about every thread on the swap that i need the following
351W 3/4" drop mounts
Front sump oil pan
5.0 longblock.
custom driveshaft
now thats about all i know. is the AOD easier to do than a T5? if so what all am i gonna need to make the motor auto and get it setup in the car. now i know alot of cutting grinding and welding will have to be done thats not a big deal i can do that as needed i just need to know i have the parts required or at least i know what i need to get. help me out here please guys ive read every damn thread on this site and either the thread just up and ends or its not clear on what needs to be done. so someone help me out here

im thinking of doing this very same swap what mounts did you use and any issues putting the motor and trans in?? im going with a 700R4 trans i think to retain some kind of gas mileage.... any help would be awesome thanks

and i have some questions and problem. the body and interior are in pretty good shape but the previous owner spun bearings and then took the motor apart almost completly. he has half a motor in the bay and a bucket and trunk full of parts he gave us with the car. im not entirely sure that everything to reassemble the motor is there. SO my question is......Where can i get another motor that will bolt to the trans? like another model of car etc.. the head looks to be complete so i can swap the head to another block im sure.....
and if that is not much of an option what is hands down the easiest and cheapest motor to swap into the car. i dont give a damn about speed i just want to be able to drive this beautiful car. ill be posting pictues very soon also ill have some seats for sale in very good condition since ill be goin with some evo 8 seats i have
