  1. I am sorry to say the TD Starion will not be at the Mesquite meet. I have family plans that will take up that weekend. In other news, I just got done doing a trip to Tx.. just under 1000 miles, 80 mph, fuel pump turned up for 30lbs o boost, 38mpg. I went from vernal,ut to Amarillo,tx (760 miles) on one tank. not to bad. im sure I can get more mpg if I detuned the fuel pump had lower boost and went a bit slower, but who wants to do that. 5th gear up and over Vail pass (10,600ft), never missing a beat. no problems, no hiccups, nothing. this thing is unstoppable.
  2. importwarrior, rev's max out at about 5k and as for the power, maybe 200+hp and 300+ft/lb don't really know.
  3. so I replaced my clutch in oct. of last year. broke it in all winter, all was well till mid march.   4. fixed! stuck hazard switch, with dead flasher unit. unstuck switch and replaced flasher, pow signals n brake lights.
  5. so my brake and turn signals do not work now. i have checked all fuses, connections, switches, so on and so on. all good. i am getting no power to the fuse and have no idea where the main and sub fusible link are.all fusible links i have found are good. please help. thank you
  6. to the best of my knowledge, nothing. the 4d55 were in mighty max,ford ranger, monteros, and a few other things
  7. so the TDStarion is down. needs a new clutch. i guess 30lbs o boost is to much. other than that the car is still running great, 40ish mpg on the highway. after clutch comes bigger turbo, intake mani, and then 3in exhaust. and that will be all i can do without ripping the engine apart.
  8. so the TDStarion is doing great. i have done a few 3hr highway runs with no problems.water and e.g.t.'s stay low, boost comes on almost instantly and just pulls to the rev. limit. the only problem i have is people in my way. i went through the injection pump on fri. and tuned it for more fuel, im now pushing 20psi like it aint no thang. stock was 10, gonna keep playing with it and probably stop at 25. but now i have a really really fun car. tossing out smoke, squealing tires, trq out the wazoo, guessing 35+mpg(caint keep my foot off the throttle) and its fairly quick too. now its time for paint
  9. Back on the road and doing great. going out o town for the weekend. will put pics up when i get back.
  10. i had to swap oil pans, put in a oil return on the starion oil pan for the vac. pump on the alt. and then cut off the flang of the diesel oil pickup tube and weld it to the starion oil pickup tube. but now its down, putting in a new rad., e.g.t., front one piece bumper and other lil nit noids.
  11. got the boost up to 15. have not tuched the fuel screw yet and it pumps out the black smoke. going to put a e.g.t. in this weekend then start tunning more. and strang3majik. yes it was old motor out new diesel in. all i had to mess with was oil pan, and starter, since the diesel came from a auto 4wd. other than that strait swap.
  12. so the TDStarion is doing great. i have done about 500mi so far and not a problem one. the diesel has made it a new car ( power band and all) it eats up the mount. roads like it aint no thang.the hp is nothing to brag about, but the tq. is bout the same as stock and i think more fun with the way it comes on. i will have a vid a.s.a.p. just wating on a few lil fix ups.
  13. update, the motor is running good. getting new exhaust mon. morn. then i can get it street legal and have a new vid coming to yall asap.

  15. hooked it to a five speed but it came off a auto, the starter is not reaching the flywheel. the starter turn and does every thing its made to do but hit the flywheel.
  16. ok so i got the new starter in about 5 days ago, the diesel starter does not engage the flywheel, and the starions old old starter just dont have the nuts to turn the engine over. already tryed to make a franken starter, no go. so now im stuck with a TD starion thats done and just needs a starter.
  17. There is a vac. pump on the alt. that i will just run a vac. hose off of, to the tube on the brake booster.Then the bad news, starter is bad so i gotta wait on that to come in before i can even give it a test run. so now starts the ups ground waiting game.

  20. i now have my flywheel from being resurfaced, and clutch. now i just waiting on a oil pan gasket, that will be here sat. morn.. hope to have the motor in this weekend with pics up shortly there after, and a vid by wed.
  21. i do have a filter/ heater/water separator, the diesel came with the starter, and its going on the stock tranny soshin usa, out of cali. and the motor without the auto tranny was 2 g's
  22. the swap is not for fuel economy, though i have read that some mighty maxs have tuned there 4d55 to 40+mpg. i think i just want to do a swap that has not been done before (i belive) and see what i can get out of it. plus i think its cool

  24. The G54B is out, gonna take some time to clean up the engine bay ( no more wire harness) and then drop in the 56T in about a week.
