  1. Forgive me, but I have no clue when the seat belt tape is. Pictures? This car didn't come with a rear hatch cover but I have one off of my 88. If I remember correctly, the carpet is in good condition but the cardboard panel on the back is split in two... it's repairable, especially since it's the part you don't see. I'll try to get pics this weekend. Stay tuned for updates, everyone, I expect to put hours into the car this weekend.
  2. Added you to the list. I might have some time tonight to work on the car, I'll keep you guys updated
  3. I'll add you to the list for both tomorrow. That's a slit on the lid, there is a smaller one on the driver side edge as well, forgot to comment. The pin is removable (I made sure) so the lid can be swapped out or wrapped.
  4. Center console - very light scratch on the pass. side (you can see it in the pic) http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-41-40_868640x361.jpg Cluster http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-42-37_47640x361.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-42-45_355640x361.jpg Trans tunnel kick panels http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-43-06_634640x361.jpg Dash pod / dash hood / switch hood / etc http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-43-29_904640x361.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-43-41_187361x640.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-43-48_64361x640.jpg HVAC control and trim (better condition than in my 88 I'm keeping, lol) http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-44-30_462640x361.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-44-36_533640x361.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1989%20Chrysler%20Conquest%20TSI/2012-08-06_23-44-51_384640x361.jpg Had some more time with the car. - I'll clean the front seats up soon... the leather isn't hard, but the driver is only in fair condition with plenty of wear. Passenger obviously looks better. Rears are toast. - Roof has a big dent in it, not worth it so I'm removing it from the list. - Tiv, the driver side wiper cowl is damaged, passenger side is good - The nose panel is not rusty but it would need body work, hail type damage - Hatch struts are good
  5. Thought I had done this recently, I apologize. Parts are located in Southeast, Michigan (zip 48186)
  6. Updated the first post. Also, please note, people buying several items will get priority to condense shipping on my end.
  7. I have two, I'll see which one looks better. I'll put you on the list. Plastic pieces? I'll add the wheel and console to your list. I believe so, have to check condition.
  8. You're behind randy, I've defined that as the 'dash pod'. I'll remove and take pics soon. Also, keep in mind I work A LOT so part removal might take a little while. I'll only request funds when I'm ready to ship, shipping out should be same day or next day.

  10. It's home and it's an 89 (vin 10th character is K), I'll be starting a new thread with prices in the next couple days.
  11. I understand what you were TOLD but I've actually seen the car I'll be picking it up, possibly this weekend, have to get a trailer sorted out.
  12. The window was broken while the car was being stored in the garage for the last 3+ years. The interior smells old but certainly not in the state that you'd imagine. Not having seen the car yourself, I'm not really sure where you're getting any of your assumptions, lol. I'm two hours out and I'd be keeping the airdam.
  13. I have a habit of modifying things pretty quickly (see signature), so if I get bored I'm sure the lackluster power output will be remedied. You mean the dash cowl? We're probably on the same page now, lol I just took the preliminary pictures, I won't know anything concrete until I get it home and clean everything up. You mean the paper thin vinyl decals? I seriously doubt I could pull those off the car without damaging them. If you want vinyl, I have some friends that could probably make those in new vinyl. Makes perfect sense. If I grab the car, I'll send you a PM
  14. Located in Southeast Michigan. What do you mean by set switches on the cowl hood? I wouldn't say that, the floors in my 86 were worse than this car and it ran flawlessly. Like I said, I don't really need anything off of it, but I'd like to see it picked apart for those that do. The Porsche is mine... Jetstream Blue Metallic (on the C6 Corvette) and Porsche 996TT wheels http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-7507-1342031456106.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/1986%20Porsche%20944/2012-06-10_22-11-30_344800x451.jpg
  15. Can you be more descriptive about HVAC? Yea, the seats struck me as odd for a minute... My 88 had different seats than the ones this car has. The car is two hours away, I'm not going back unless I actually pick the car up. You know, I didn't think to grab the VIN... probably should have. I know it's non SHP, I checked for struts and it has the standard 7/8 wheels I may or may not have one sitting around from my old 86 or current 88 Definitely a different look. If I pick the car up I'll have to do more research on them.
  16. I got a line on a parts car but it's a couple hours away and I'm trying to see if it's worth my time to bring it home... what does everyone need? The car is completely stock, been sitting in a garage for at least 3-4 years, and the body is pretty far gone. Doesn't seem like anything is broken except that rear glass piece, everything is just dirty. If I pick it up, I'll probably do some quick diagnostics and try to get the thing running. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-5410-1342017045640.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-6726-1342017045068.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-7652-1342017041016.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-6505-1342017044502.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-2160-1342017041581.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-5627-1342017042778.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-1775-1342017043914.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-3276-1342017042233.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/photobucket-4633-1342017043334.jpg All I really need is the airdam, maybe the back glass shade bit just for fun.
  17. I sure did. It's close but I think I'll be ok. After I drive it, if there's any noise I'll just dent it... that far rearward and the impact on flow would be minimal. I haven't started the swap yet but I'll be using the W series Supra transmission and custom bellhousing from Bill.
  18. Tubing came in for the exhaust yesterday! http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-28_19-15-53_815.jpg I got a good majority of the exhaust done today. Silicone couplers and tbolt clamps are great for mockup without tacking, cutting tacks, modifying tubing, and retacking over and over. String helps prevent tubing from rotating and while it gets to the point where the whole car looks like a spiderweb, it really works out in the long run. Excuse the underside of the car, it's a 22 year old car that's lived in the rust belt it's entire life. I plan on gutting the underside and coating everything in the spring while I'm getting the 4G swap done. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-29_16-07-56_160.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-29_16-08-46_632.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-29_17-22-57_605.jpg I decided to split up the exhaust into vband clamped sections. The muffler will be vband clamped to the second section to allow for muffler changouts and ease of installation through the subframe. The first to second section is vband clamped so that I can run a turn down before the rear subframe if I choose to do so. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-29_20-43-57_860.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-29_20-44-13_22.jpg http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-29_20-45-29_357.jpg Aside from the muffler and vband, below is the exhaust in it's entirety. Everything is tacked together, waiting on final welding the exhaust hanger placement. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn164/ejm211/Conquest/2010-12-29_23-11-59_427.jpg Thanks for looking.
  19. Due to some clutch engagement issues, I picked up a new clutch for the G54B, which is annoying as maintenance items just delay the 4G swap further. While the stock transmission was the lightest rwd transmission I've ever dealt with, it was the biggest pain to reinstall. Regardless, I got the clutch done, holds great. A week later, my clutch pedal was doing all kinds of crazy stuff so I went through a couple more slave cylinders with no difference. I pulled the master out of my parts car and threw that in. Everything is working but it still doesn't feel right so we'll see. A couple weeks ago when we got a good amount of snow, I visited my old friend ditch while trying to avoid a potential serious accident. The front airdam is hurt and my exhaust was damaged. An area of the passenger side floor pan was also damaged, pushed up a good 4 inches into the cabin. This isn't a big deal really. I planned on making an exhaust shortly, I didn't like the one on there in the first place, and I'll replace the floors and run full frame rails front to rear in the spring. So here is the current plan of attack: - Build exhaust and install - Gather parts for the 4G - Assemble 4G and mock up in parts car - Source bellhousing and transmission - Mock up assembly, build mounts - Source wiring, computer, driveshaft, etc
  20. Alright, I tore into the 7bolt about a month ago. http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/zerogee88/2010-11-18_22-33-57_523.jpg In typical fashion, engine disassembly in the kitchen. I'll be assembling in the house as well, it keeps component temperatures stable. One of the few benefits of being single, I suppose, ha. Tore it down to find this: http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/zerogee88/2010-11-19_17-44-43_230.jpg http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/zerogee88/2010-11-19_18-14-12_879.jpg The crank is scored up pretty bad and I'm not 100% sure I should use the pistons. Any thoughts from the dsm guys? Either way, the block needs to go out to get checked so I'll be doing that soon. I'll be disassembling the head as well and sending that off to get cleaned.
  21. This is my second conquest, hopefully this one stays on the road a bit longer than my last one (sitting in the backyard, haha). This is an 88 Conquest TSI with the SHP package. The previous owner rebuilt the engine (2.6L G54B) and lightly modded it including an ebay t3 .60 with otherwise unknown specifications. The car has very little rust in comparison to most of the conquests found in the "rust belt" and this particular one received a repaint last year with one stage (unfortunately). The body is rough around the edges up close but is worlds better than my last one, whose floor pans were disappearing. http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/zerogee88/_IGP4719.jpg http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/dd369/zerogee88/_IGP4720.jpg I've purchased a 7bolt narrow block 4G and will begin the tear down shortly. I'll document what I can, it should be pretty detailed. For now, it will be a nearly stock rebuild. I'll throw the ebay turbo on there for awhile (works remarkably well for an ebay turbo, although spool is slow) and start weighing my options later down the road, either a diesel variable geometry turbo or one of the twin scroll options that are popping up for the evo crowd. I'd like to see 400whp before I touch the motor again. Questions and comments always welcome.
  22. I have these in my 88 and they're amazingly comfortable. GLWS
  23. Ebay turbo car would be me. Had a lot of fun today guys, nice meeting everyone but Dave (he's a punk). John, I'll get that $20 for ya, lol. ~Eric
