  1. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/demon2086/starion.jpg Runs strong! Gas saver. 5spd 96k miles. 3" turbo-back exhaust Upgraded to 1G MAS (have the stock one, will include) New BOSCH spark plugs New brake master cylinder BOSCH 3 wire o2 sensor New Kumho 245 tires in the rear. All windows completely tinted except windshield. Selling AS IS. I haven't attempted to smog the car yet because I need to pay bills $1600 FIRM. First come first serve. Right now the only problem i'm having is smoke at the exhaust manifold. There was an oil leak and I thought it was because I took the valve cover off so last night I put silicone to seal the valve cover and actually it doesn't seem to be leaking oil at all but it's still smoking (i'm thinking this is because it's burning all the old oil that was leaking before) So, I think I solved the problem. but I could be wrong. I don't want to deal with it i'm wasting my time not driving right now (because i haven't smogged the car the temp reg was up in feb, it has 06 tags because I hadn't drove the car for 2 years because of a suspended license unrelated to the car). I was going to get the car passed by a guy a week from now but I don't want to deal with driving the car around town. First come first serve @ $1600 the car does turn on and idles smooth and will drive. ;]
  2. The car is located in San Jose, CA. Has about 100k miles on it. 3" turbo back exhaust new 245 Kumho's in the rear tinted all 5 windows completely (can't see in it except for windshield) side of car has some shine to the paint but it's rather dull i was meaning to get it repainted Maroon anyway but not anymore. sprayed the rims black. i painted the hood black, expecting to get it repainted or getting the Carbon Fiber hood of course. (The hood looked pink, and turned the whole car pink, after I painted it black the car looked a lot better) Upgraded the MAS to 1G, still have the old MAS. Pictures: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/dem...tteconquest.jpg (when I first got it) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v626/demon2086/phpgd.jpg (side view) with the tint. $2,000, come get it. Wanting to trade for an 88-92 or w/e the last year was, CRX, or any gas saver. or a bike (yr 2000+) Thanks.
  3. hey dont make fun of me i'm going through a really hard time ive been depressed all weekend i cant even sleep right now i've just decided i'm selling the car i dont need a cool car to have fun. thanks
  4. Phew. Okay the friend that helped me get the gasket swapped the first time said he will come over when it stops raining and help me get my car going. I'm saved, I'm probably going to sell it or trade for a bike to get me back on my feet. I've been hitting new rock bottoms and I'm making around $200/week not enough for this car + insurance and other bills. Sucks but with my girlfriend just leaving me on valentines day I'd rather be in a beater car getting my life together then failing with a cool Starion that no one has. I do love these cars though, my favorite :|
  5. Okay so I unbolted and removed everything leading up to taking the valve cover off it's been raining all week so I've had to sit and wait. I'm going to get the head resurfaced sometime this week Question: Do I have to drain the oil and radiator fluid? The guys at my work were saying I didn't have to, I just had them both refilled recently. What steps do I need to take? I know I need the 3/8 torque wrench and to unbolt the bolts in order. I'm going to follow the directions in the Service Manual but if anyone has any simple directions please post it would be appreciated I really need to get this car going back on the road. Also the valve cover/rocker cover gasket in the service manual, well mine looks like its on their pretty tight it doesn't seperate anyway do I need to put sealant around the edges so oil doesn't leak out? cause it looks like there was sealant there before. All help would be appreciated, the rain has got me down and I really want to be back on the road! :]
  6. correction*** i got most of the stuff out of the way but i havent got down to the headgasket yet. I might start that tomorrow
  7. well I haven't done anything to my car yet I get paid tomorrow morning and i'm hoping to have enough to get what I need done the gasket came in and I bought sealant. now how much do you think its going to cost to resurface the head? i'll find out tomorrow. thanks, Donavon
  8. Oh and Chris the guy that did my gasket 2 years ago probably knew what he was doing he has a conquest himself he is on here. He said he has an $8,000 motor and that he's rebuilt the car plenty of times so I trusted him. I abused the car here and there (went 1 year 6 mo w/o my license in that time so i didn't drive the car) but yeah it held up this whole time until I started driving it to my girlfriends house (within the last 2 months or so) San Jose is relatively flat unless you drive on it's surrounding hills, I have to drive up Silver Creek Valley Rd. That drive is hell for this car.
  9. Well i'm located in south San Jose, CA Just a minute off Bernal Rd from 101 or 85. I don't think i'll be able to get the gasket till Monday anyway thanks for the advice.
  10. replace it myself. sucks I just paid $167 for insurance last friday and 2 days later the gasket blows. it's due to the constant up hill driving i must do to visit my girlfriend I had a friend do the head gasket 2 years ago and looking at the directions now, i don't think he went exactly by the book but the car worked just fine it says in the pre-removal operation in the service manual to - Remove residual pressure in fuel high pressure hose and remove the air conditioner v-belt i don't have the special tools needed in the directions for removing the residual pressure and in the directions it says to turn the car on blahblahblah well when my friend did it 2 years ago the car wasn't running and we had to get a new battery after he hooked everything back up and it started up so does anyone have any tips going in to this i watched him do it last time so i have a pretty good idea of what i'm doing does anyone have a link to a head gasket and everything else i need, online? thanks, donavon
