Ready to get gutted.

Proud new owner of an 88 Conquest and new to the forums. Will post pics soon. Towed her home Saturday and got started on teardown. So far I believe the headgasket blew (the previous owner kicked the s*** out of the car), coolant got into the cylinder and locked it up. I broke the cyl 2 endcap loose and the engine spun free all throughout, not to mention all the coolant dripping on my face from the crank. SO, I say just for funs sake, time for the engine to come out and get some love. Parts list is already being built and alot of fun/headaches to come. So far we're going to start out with JE pistons, total seals, new bearings and gaskets throughout, some headwork (any sugg?), maybe bigger turbo down the road. Picked the unit up for $600 and have found plenty of issues, steering box leaking all over, floorboards rusting next to the pinchwelds, etc. But has a few good things, new stock style turbo, new clutch, refinished flywheel, new plug wires. Otherwise its all original. Goal as of now? Rebuild her good and strong on stock externals, then see what we can take care of on the fun side. :thumbsup: Oh and of course, any tips or hindsight would always be appreciated.
