  1. Hi im looking to trade my 1995 dodge dakota for and decent conquest with a complete body, doesnt have to have engine or transmission preferably 88 and up? the car does NOT have to be running! if youre interested please email calebwhetzell@hotmail.com or call or text 620-704-8744 any questions? 5 speed manual trans axel ratio: 355 tires 1/2 tred 31x10.50 15 swamper tsl 4 inch lift LOCATION Arma kansas, 66712 (Southeast kansas)
  2. well everybody, the v8 quest is alive, i started the cam break in but there is too much exhaust in the garage, so i will have to move the probe out from behind it somehow, the transmission is out, and i have the transaxels pulled, but im going to try and get it moved asap so i can get some footage of it running, and some more pics
  3. the 904 is a pretty light weight trans, and has a great 1st gear and a fairly stong pump, i think it could handle 8k alright, depending on how you go about building your motor or the trans, me and my dad have used the 904 in many projects and one seen 7k ocassionally and it didnt hurt it
  4. i will get some pics of the mounts up here, and it is a car oil pan off of a 72 340ci mopar, cant remember what my 340 cam out of, but im pretty sure almost all of the car pans are the same
  5. ive already consider it i was thinkin of it before i even had the motor in lol
  6. thanks for the compliments and now the starter has great clerance, only issue really is exhaust clearance, but im just using some block hugger headers, which may need a bit of modding but it shouldnt be to tough, ill get some more pics of if for all of you that are intrested in this build, like day light pictures, i was just ready to get some pics up and those first two are kinda tacky.
  7. im super excited to do the test drive :sunglasses:
  8. i didnt know superman really exsisted! :character0028: im sure if he did he would look like that guy< and he would be driving a starquest , thanks for the info btw
  9. well i have an uncle with a 4 speed out of a 71 dart, and i have tried to get him to come off of it a few times but no such luck yet, as soon as the car is done he may reconsider, but with what i have now it should be pretty nasty, with a 3800 stall and the b&m manual valve body, one more question, how much exactly does a starquest weight average?
  10. oops sorry i didnt realize there wasa already a post of this vid :confused0024: i just thought it was kinda cool
  11. i stumbled upon this vid on the tube, and you have to see it, this starquest wins part one test one and three, and in one it reaches 119 and in test three it catches some air, i found it interesting, there are two more parts to this but i only watched one so here is the link, enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oDvGFxvIzc...feature=related
  12. its comming soon too, my step dad owes me some dough and ill have its in the first week of january so will get some vid off the car runnin, not sure how long it will be befor ei get the tunnel ram though, i have to find a trailer to pull the truck for trade, and its a bit of a stretch to take it
  13. the way i have the engine sitting in i will be able to put block hugger headers from summit under the hood
  14. lmao thats hillarious, this thread just got better and better, i wish someeone would lick my quest but matte paint probably isnt very yummy, but my greenapple 318 might be :character0028:
  15. oh dont worry i didnt plan to keep the carb, it was just on there for mock up, as you can see, its not even bolted on in the photos, and im planning on running a tunnel ram with two 4 barrel carbs, i have a set of 450cfm holley carbs with manual secondarys, i am also considering one demon instead but havent decided yet, but i think the two holleys would be pretty sick lookin stickin up out of the hood about 14inches
  16. does anybody have any half decent nvidia or ati agp slot cards theyd be willing to get rid of? i have an asus p4p800-e main board running a hyper threading p4 3gz processor clocked at 3.8gz at 1010mhz bus speed, 250 fsb, 1gb of ram at 400mhz, and ati radeon 9550 card with the core clock a little over 440mhz, all operating stable and the cpu core hasnt gone over 62degrees c on air cooling, but i still think it would operate well with a faster gpu, i want something like nvidia 7600gs or better, this computer is for sale if any body is interested, the case is custom painted with flames, its a black base with orange and green flourecent flames, i did it for them to glow under the black light , the hard drive is 80gb seagate 7200 rpm, and it comes with windows xp sp3 installed, fully up to date, and a dvd drive, if you want to know anymore let me know d
  17. ok her are some teaser photos of the engine without the tunnelram http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk206/c...ll/DSCI0003.jpg http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk206/c...ll/DSCI0005.jpg nothing special yet but it will be
  18. i did the the 318 mainly because i like the bore and stroke of them, they just have a little more snap than the 360 rather than grunt
  19. no no no they used the 318 in all kinds of old mopars, mine actually came out of a 69 4 door valiant, it was a non smog engine, and had a cast crank in it but i done away will all of that and went to a steel eagle crank, and am using 340 rods, i actually do have a 340 but it needs a bit of machine work due to some cracking, i wanted the 318 for the fact that its not common to see a mopar engine swap in a conquest and if you do, not a 318, and the motor was untouched, it had never had and interal problems, and it had 63k original miles on it, the car was just rolled up a couple times and sat in my neighbors yard for as long as i could remember, my dad told me the people were the second owner of the car. i did go through the whole engine, its all been balanced, and it only ran for maybe 30 mins after it was built before wearing lobes off the new purple shaft cam so it sat on its stand for about 2 years then i decided to dump some money into it, its going to be a sweet machine i think, i have a tunnel on hold for it which i will probably pick up soon, im trading a 75 shortbed dodge for it, it was my intake to beging with but when it went to the machine shop for some planing it was theirs for a while, long story... but he made me a deal to get it back so i think it will be cool to put the tunnel ram on it with two 4-barrel demon carbs and a bug catcher scoop
  20. ok everyone sorry i havent been on for a while my internet has been off, and i would have liked to of taken some pics off my swap but the motor and trans is already in, its a .40 over 318 and a 904 trans, (wanted a lower 1st gear) and 3800 stall, i will get some pics of the motor and trans in the car, if any of you want a motor and trans description let me know, i have had the car sitting in my garage for a while now, because i have been trying to finish some schooling so i havent been workin, and the build was on hold due to money, the only thing im waiting on now would be a set of block hugger headers, and my bullets (mufflers) i havent tried to fire the motor just yet because i dont have any exhaust on it what so ever and i put a 508 lift crane cam in this car so i want to fire the engine and start the break in right off, because i had an issue with my last cam break in and a paid a lot of money for the new cam and lifter kit :lightingzapA:

  25. anyone want to buy my engine, trans, turbo, kockbox, and intercooler? the engine will need a starter, and the crank needs replaced i beleive because i spun #1 rod bearing, and replaced it but i just cleaned the crank with emery cloth so im not sure, but the trans is great, and comes with a good clutch the engine has around 137k miles, and was running when i pulled other than the starter was no good, i will take $400 obo for all of it, and you will need to pick it up, it comes with all the hoses airbox and hardpipeing as well, please give me a call if youa re interested 1-(405)-816-5729
