I love the car but i bought a 1970 chevy c-10 that i would rather invest my money into....cant afford 2 toys lol. Anyways the car is registered and now has a clean title in my name. It still needs to be tuned.(runs ruff without the tune so i would only drive it home and then to be tuned). I only put about 50 miles on the car once i bought it and then parked it. I payed $3700.00 for it 3 months ago. I will Let it go for $3000.00. battery is more then likely dead and since i am deployed i will need to Relay info to My coworker Jared if anyone is interested in the car to escort you on base to see it. Hey guys i am currently deployed to iraq and am gonna have a little extra change when i get back. I want a completely forged bottom end race motor short block capable of 400-500 horspower. I already have mpi/marnel head/18g/sds stand alone. I know that racetep sells one for 2500, but i have heard a lot of complaints on here. I kow there are a couple engine builders on this site...if you are out there can you please let me know how much i am looking at or who you recommend to build race engines on here. thanks

Well guys even though i just picked up my new 88 baby shes gonna sit for a year. I am leaving tonight for a 365 and am pretty excited about it. It will give me plenty of time to save money and do it right when i get back. I want 400hp club (well 12 seconds or less).:-) Pearl silver paint....18s.....and brand new interior. i finally found a shop in the meantime for all you virginia/ maryland guys that will tune our cars. they will do any injection system including sds. www.hpworks.com i cant wait to get back and start in on this project lol. maybe i will get internet over there so i can keep learning about these cars in my off time but if not. ill talk to yah guys in a year. thanks for all the help so far Jimmy

hi i bought my car with a bad alternator and the kid told me that i should do agm conversion. I Havent found any info on it. whats the advantage of it? what does it consist of doing? and does anyone sell a kit?

i have called like 10 damn shops in the virginia and maryland area none of them know these damn cars and will tune it......there has got to be someone. i stillhavent gotten a hold of mo hopefully there shop can.

One thing this site is lacking...unless i am a total retard(which is possible) is a vendor list. It would be extremely helpfull to newbs to these cars like me if we had a thread with all the aftermarket websites and different people on this site that sell performance/regular parts for our cars. Anyways i thought it would be nice to have a thread like this and then have the moderators bookmark it. hey guys i just bought and 88 tsi with sds fuel managent and the tune is pretty much way off to non existent.lol i live in alexandria virginia. Anybody know a shop in the virginia/maryland area that nows sds and can tune this car? any reccomendations?

yah i love the car and once i saw mpi and all the goodies. i thought it was a pretty good deal. great starter platform anyway. i am going to iraq for a year and she is gonna be my baby when i get back, prob put about 10 gs in her.lol. she needs a tune realbad and the other issues fixed first. Goodthing i have a lot of tools lol and rececntly got rid of the wife.

Hi i just bought an 88 tsi that had the top end rebuilt and they disconected the wire for the temp guage aparently can you guys show me a pic of where the temp guage wire attaches at the block. theres so many wires in this engine bay cause off all the engine management and gauges and s*** i am trying to sort it all out. thanks

can somebody put up a pic of were the wire for the temp guage mounts on the engine my temp guage isnt working apparently because the previous owner had the top end rebuilt and they didnt connect the wire. since i just got this thing there are wires everywhere and i have to sort them out. help please.lol
