  1. Seriously just get rid of it. You do not need it at all. It is doing you more harm than good. Someone probably has a stock ovcp for free if you just pay shipping.
  2. You can check for codes on the sensors. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28043 With that being said I don't fully trust it as a way to see if something is bad or not. Plus you need to make sure to reset the ecu etc. Good luck!
  3. Only reason I really figured it was leaking was because of his MPG post lol So I am safely assuming either your injectors are leaking or your bov is leaky....or both
  4. If it is a good $200 bov...leave it on. Otherwise take it off. If it is leaking just a little it can be causing you more problems that what it is worth. Also if you are running a 12a turbo (stock) and under 15psi I really see no reason to have one at all.
  5. Sounds like a fun car I am curious though how you managed 22psi with a 20g and stock injectors? What afr are you running wot?
  6. Really hope you find the problem. Lost the bet
  7. I am running the hx35 with TBI Running FIP ecu and 2x 1150cc injectors. 19psi is what I was running around daily. Now running meth/h2o injection and hope to be low 20's in boost.
  8. I also run the treadstone but I must warn you that you will have to do some pretty decent modding for this manifold. Maybe people with the stock manifold route the oil drain to the oil pan but it is a must with the treadstone. The downpipe also has to be pretty modified. Running a holset a few other things like power steering etc will have to be moved. Overall in the end I think it was worth it though
  9. Even if someone liked the paintjob. Why make it unmatched below the door and rear bumper in parts? O.o
  10. You have a widebody. The widebody cars have flared fenders and the lower piece below the door. widebody cars were between 86-89. Flatties were from 83-87
  11. So any details on what turbo and intake etc you will be using? *edit* Also what transmission are you going to use?
  12. Seriously get your injectors sent off...if it isn't the injectors i would be SHOCKED. How many times have you seen spark plug wires go bad? If you suspect spark plugs...just check them. Codes will tell you something but you could still have problems and show no codes. I just think most stock injectors these days are crap. Very few of them run 100% Even if they click they could still be dumping a ton of fuel or starving your engine of it. Witchhunters 4tw
  13. With stock gearing I think it is around 140 at redline. Might be 135+ or 145...not real sure. Going by the stock speedo is pointless at high speeds. It is over 127 for sure though.
  14. I take it you do not have a wideband on the car? I have seen about 10 stock injectors go to crap...so all the 4 cars I have worked on I made sure to clean the fuel system and order NEW injectors.
  15. If you wanted a huge project I know where one is for say for $700. It is rusted but is very close shape to be running.
  16. I think my TBI hx35 8 blade hit 22psi by 3900rpm. Also I believe my bov is crap and might be leaking a tad.
  17. Well I am personally against the 1g mass. I think it is not such a great mod on a car you drive more than once a week. Out of all of your list you forgot one of the main things that will affect horsepower. The boost your run. Do you have a wideband gauge? With the 1g and 14b turbo you might be able to sqeeze something like 18psi out of it on stock injectors (unsure) and hit your 250whp mark. Also I hope you have an aftermarket boost gauge because the stock one is TOTAL crap for anything higher than stock boost.
  18. I have been really wanting to build a rat rod....I know what TYPE of motor I would go with... Diesel. I think a big fixed up turbo diesel would be AWESOME in a rat rod. Hell you even get the black smoke to go with the rust!
  19. Have you checked rear end fluid? If replaced you must add that special LSD additive. Mine was making jerking and rubbing sounds on tight corners. Put in that additive and then took the car out and did multiple slow small figure 8's. Fixed
  20. My opinion on the performance difference: The magna intake was designed on a non turbocharger non performance car. So maxboost's intake should be a much better intake for straight performance. I have no factual data to back that up other than if maxboost did his research it should be a much better intake in general for our cars than the magna.
  21. No there is no difference. If there is i would be super shocked. But I can safely say that all of them widebody or not are the same.
