Thanks guys!!!!! I have taking some pictures I'll post tomorrow and the more I check the car the more I fine problems but it's not going to stop me from making tsi from running and looking good again. I bought it for 600 and it made a 3 and a half hour drive to it's new home with out a problem or I should say with all the problems. It has injector leak , it has two nuts missing on the turbo manifold one nut missing from the turbo down pipe , the alternator wire was barely connected , head ligths were not working (burned fuse like box), bad ground cable. She's a. Warrior. “I did not buy this car on this site" the eci is from a 89 and the heads look very clean inside, so the previous owner did a horrible job in putting the car back together. Hey starquest members it's nice to meet you all ! new bee online. Just got 87 TSI and the stock boost gauge reads between -7 and -14 on idle. It does not look rigth to me (my first turbo car) is this normal ? I all so put the RPM's up to 5,000 and it went up to +2 and I let off. Am I in the rigth range or do I have a boost leak or something else ? The heads are making loud ticking noise so I pulled the value cover off and I found one of the rocker eating away the cam and I notice the rocker arms are not adjustable ones.What do you think happened ? It was just one I have never seen this before. .(the heads are not stock they dont have jet values) All input is appreciated!!I'll see if I can post some pictures soon.
