  1. I've got a 1994 T-Bird I could trade? Has nice cold air, gets decent mileage. Has about 105k on it but has not been driven in the winter so is nearly rust free.

Sorry I did not reply to your request.... Some how AD got reposted.

The Starion was sold back in Jan. of 2011.

    Sorry again

    Wolf

  2. I use to have a 83 Starion up until Jan of of this year.

    Few things to look at:

    - A fuel pressure gauge off the incoming fuel line will HELP GREATLY. (I have had one on the incoming and return lines)

    - Fuel Pressure Regular might be going. (unfortunately a factory 83 model FPR is VERY tuff to find,... I had to use a aftermarket one to keep the fuel pressure correct. Correct Pressure is about 35-37 PSI for normal non-intercooled 83. Mine was intercoolered I ran about 38 PSI plus larger tubro set to 9.5psi)

    - Check both sets of HARD line under the car for both fuel feed to the ECI and vapor line from the tank to the Charcoal Canistor. (I had the hard vapor line plugged that ran from the tank to the front Charcoal canistor under the air cleaner box. I had the fuel vapor line, plus one of the check valves off that hard line to the charcoal canistor plugged, cause the fuel to back up into the fuel return line from the ECU system cause the car to flood.)

Hope is helps and good luck with the 83.

They are very touch to set, but once you do... they are sweet!!! :)

  3. so how many people want your hood! Id buy it and give you a nice black flatt hood in Raleigh NC

    ---------------

I have had a few offers for several different parts of the 83. (Seats, hood, metal air-dam, the second turbo B14, and the rear lip spoiler)

Sorry to say I rather sell the whole 83 car + all the parts to one person.

  4. THE CAR HAS BEEN SOLD!!!

Car was listed before but I can't modify the Title to show price drop.

For Sale: 1983 Mitsubishi Starion (In Roanoke Virginia Area) PRICE $3000.00

PRICE DROPPED = $2750.00 (or possible trade for Starion with A/C or Newer car then 1983)

I purchased the car back in Sept. 2007 from Scotty in Virginia.

(A/C and cruise control were eliminated on purchase but can be added back)

The car is running great !!

Was my everyday driver, with 134,xxx miles on body and engine. The up-graded 150mph speedo shows 144,XXX.

The brand new head has only 1,500 miles on it and the compression test on the engine showed 139 across the cylinders.

(normal I believe is 142) The TD05-12A Turbo has no play that i can see is adjusted to 9.5psi with a Turbo XS adjustable boost controler.

This 1983 narrow body comes with many original features from 83 and a few wide body Starion/Conquest features as well.

A 16 row factory intercooler has been added to help send cooler air flow into the unique 1983 sequential firing ECI fuel injection system. The Intercooler has been mounted in front of the rare 83 metal air-dam as not to damage it. The rare 83 hood is intact, along with the other rare feature only found on the 1983 Starion: silver color center console covers, roll-top door compartment (located under the radio) and silver & black (now all silver) push button controls for headlights and hazards.

Interior was been changed out from the original grey to full black. Seats have been upgraded to 1988-89 Starion ESI-r/Conquest TSi Recaro style seats. The back seats have been reupholsters to black with red Mitsubishi logo, the front seats have not completed yet. But full instructions and reupholstering kit comes with car. Radio and speakers have been up graded to Kenwood and JL. (see extra section for details) Also mounted in dual A-piller pod is a Turbo boost gauge rated up to -30 to +30psi.

  5. I want your back seats. You should sell them to me :)

    I'd love to buy an 83...this 83. But I don't have 3k :(

20 bucks! haha good luck selling man, PM me if you'd like to sell the back seats!

    -Justin

    --------------

The back seat and the front (which i did not have a chance to finish) were a custom reupholstery kit a purchased. Costed about $500 plus your time to strip and redo the seats yourself. (actually was very easy to do)

The $3000 costs are actually very reasonable considering the extra involves that come with it and the work I have done to place the engine back in running order,...

BUT, YES I understand ... the cost of 3K does hurt in the this economy.

The $3000 cost can be adjusted down a little bit for STARQUEST members.

Might consider going to .... $2750 .... for final Price
