Whiplash

The turbo that I took out my 87 Quest has some numbers missing. It has 491_8-017_0. On the other side it shows _05-1__. The _'s are blanks. It looks to be OEM. I would like to show the picture, but I have no web site upload program at this time. Could this be a manf. defect. Or a reman blank? I could e-mail the pic. if needed.

I knew about the Hyper & hypo pistons. I heard the word "eutectic" some years ago. I guess my brain made me think it was a diff. manufacturer. As usual Metric-man is correct.

I say go for the MPI set-up. It's a better set-up than the TBI system. That's why all the OEM's did away with it. How about making the intake with stackable runner lengths?

"Eutectic", "Hypereutetic", "Liquid-forged". All pettymuch the same, just different manufacturers.
