Shelby Posted August 6, 2009 Report Share Posted August 6, 2009 fel pro makes the best gasket arround, but both surfaces must be clean and flat ,, and free of corrosion , a VERY thin layer of rtv will help prevent corrosion from the antifreeze on both the intake and the inj houseing Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

pitboss Posted August 6, 2009 Report Share Posted August 6, 2009 Yeah, the FP is a good one. I did the same thing that Shelby is talking about. I put a very thin layer of Blue RTV on both sides all over the FP gasket (except the silicone ring part) and it seals great. THis was on the lower big gasket between the intake and TB BTW, not the smaller, lemon shaped gasket at the mixer housing. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
satty07 Posted August 6, 2009 Report Share Posted August 6, 2009 Ive also just used a thin layer of RTV and no gasket. Just make sure you have both surfaces nice and clean, and use just enough RTV to have a thin layer over everything. No need to go crazy with it.
