FLDSM88
I wanted to know which were the postive and negitive wires on the TPS. The service book shows a GR, GW, and GB wire. Am I safe to assume that the GR is postive the GW is negative and the GB is the ground? Thank you
Edde
The manual also shows which wires to test for what on the tps - I'd be glad to say but I don't know and you can look as easily as I can. :biggrinumbrella1:
mikec
GR is the +5 volt "input" to the TPS, this comes from the ECU on the "sensor power" wire. GB is the ground input to the TPS, it's the "sensor ground" also from the ECU. GW is the "output" wire from the TPS. It varies from near-zero volts (almost ground potential) when the TPS & throttle plates are at idle to 3.5 to 5.0 volts at wide-open throttle. Those are the wire colors on the factory wire harness; from the connector to the TPS body though the wire colors are probably different. You'll have to plug the connectors together and eyeball to see what the TPS wire colors are. mike c.
