Low White N Boosted
Sup everybody, here is just one more project i've been working on. I got this griffen radiator from this guy for $180 bucks brand new, its a little warped but it fits perfect and should work great, i think its for a chevy. I had a guy in the next city do some custom brackets for me and it fits perfect, i just drilled some small holes to line it up and now i just have to make them bigger, get some rubber washers and mount it. for underneath the radiator it is just sitting on those two arms im not sure if that is the frame or what but i am just going to cut 2 peices of my old radiator hose in half so it will be like a U shape and get something to make them stick under there so it wont be metal on metal. Anyway here is the pics, the hood closes fine with the cap on. and it bolts up to the stock holes. http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=27 http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=64 http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=65 http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=66 http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=69 http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=70 http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=71 http://www.26liter.us/gallery/displayimage...m=18&pos=72 il post some more pics when its all hooked up and ready to go. oh by the way i think its a two row, im not sure though. I'm hoping it cools better than stock whatever it is. Also if anyone wants to buy that flex fan set up i will sell it as a kit because i have the spacer, the fan, and the shroud from an 86' that will bolt up to a stock radiator. It has never been run on my car just installed and sat there for a month or so. I think i want a nice electric one if anyone is interested in buying the flex fan set up. pure_insanity
looks alot like mine. i made an adapter bracket for the coresuport tho. simply coz i wasnt set up to do any aluminum welding. im sure you noticed but.... did you notice it doesnt have a drain of any sort? also if you havent tried to put hoses on, the top hose isnt all that bad but i had a hard time finding a lower hose. i used a flex hose with a 90 degree on one end. it got the job done but ill be modifying the rad neck to be like the stock neck in the near future. Low White N Boosted
yeah i havnt tried connecting anything yet, what do you mean by drain?
pure_insanity
when you let the water out of the radiator, like say you need to pull the radiator. there is a little screw out thingy that lets you drain the water. the aluminum griffen doesnt come with one. only way to drain the water is to pull the lower hose. and if youve ever done that from underneath, it aint pretty. artinist
nah, i don't remember. the one on top is just a 90 degree elbow, nothing fancy. the lower one is the stock one, it just has to be cut about 3" shorter.
