Professor
When I got the TPS from the Hyundai I noticed the ISC unit and got that too. The ISC is exactly the same as Starquest. Even the same connectors. The wires have to be changed to correspond to the pin configuration of Starquest. I have had it on my car for 500 miles and it works perfect. The TPS and the ISC are on 89 to 91 Hyundai Sonata. Professor

MyRed88TSI
Could you please tell us what engine this came off of? Thanks. Hyundai uses Mitsubishi engines and transmissions in their cars. I put a 2.0 DOHC 4g63 from a 95 Sonata in a 91 Eclipse last year. Worked out good.
JustPaus_88TSi
Correct you are... The 89-91 or so Sonata uses the Hyundai equivilant of the 4G64(2.4L) I think Hyundai stamps that engine GC3S, or G3CS... I know first hand that the TPS works..I didn't think about the ISC at the time, but these are plentiful in my area...
JustPaus_88TSi
In that respect, any 4G64 TPS will work...Not sure about the DOHC 4G64 though ??? That was in the 95 Galant GS only...
MyRed88TSI
I will have to look into this. The last TPS I put on my car I had to makework. I couldn't find one that I could afford so I took one from a Dodge Daytona (89) and made an adapter plate from a piece of aluminum. It took some work but it looks OK and it still working. But I will look into the Hyundai TPS Thanks
Professor
I got the ICS and the TPS at the wrecking yard and they were $2.50 each. I don't know what engine was in the Sonata. I just looked at the TPS and the ISC and they looked identical to the Starquest, so I picked them up. Professor
