creepin87
Is it possible to use a caravan ignition module to lock the timing on the distributer and then control it with an MSD BTM system? If it can be done, would i gain more retardation with it, or is it less? The BTM system retards 15 degrees max!
Shelby
ign timeing advance is a product of mechanical means and has nothing to do with the pick up or modual use'd , the first problem you have is seting TSC point 90btdc or what ever degrees the ecu timeing software is useing , ECU timeing control does not use tdc as a trigger point it fires way befor tdc from 60 to 90 degrees btdc ,the soft ware retards the timeing back to base of 10btdc dist cap terminals are 180 crank degrees apart a complete rotor turn is 2x360 degrees of the crank turning or 2 turns
creepin87
Not sure if thats the answer im looking for. Im just trying to add more retarding under boost without running a VAC. I thought there was a way to lock the distributer via a FIP mod they hosted on their website?
