topraider
I have a 86' Conquest and I have been having a problem with Idleing runs very rich and can smell gas. So I assume I have a AIR/FUEL ratio problem maybe even a vacum leak? check everything all seems ok. But I decided to rebuild the Throttle body had a spare and when I took off the old one I notice on the vacum ports under old TB gasket was oil? so I blew through each one and the middle one has oil in it the most. The one in the middle goes to EGR but did take off the EGR and did not notice any oil residue in there? One thing I do have is very high oil pressure was wondering could this be cause? Or is the crankcase ventlation causing this? Any answer?
MikeMeyerhoff
Do you have any oil in the air piping that goes into the throttlebody (known as the OVCP)?
