jtmuncher
I was getting ready to intall the stock oil separator since it had been eliminated by the previous owner and I find this... what in the hell is this? Its like some sort of grease or lube. I can rub it off with my fingers. Its in all the piping except the ovcp. Could this be coming from the turbo? Also, I noticed a pull of oil inside the mating coupler on the inducer outlet (pipe from turbo over air filter). Looked to be at least a cap full. This turbo was just punched out to an 18G by forced performance and has less then 5miles on it and probably saw 8 psi once! The fins look okay and have no play and spin freely. There is no oil present anywhere else in the piping just this white film. I am seriously contimplating parting this thing out. I just dont have the time or money to work on both the GSX and this one. Anyhow, can anyone attempt to explain this? The car is not smoking....well let me rephrase that...it was dark the last time I drove it. Anyhelp is appreciated. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/P2210019.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/P2210020.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/P2210021.jpg
button
depending where the pipes came from, it could be lube from the bender. or, if you mix moisture with oil, it makes a milky residue.is there any crankcase breather lines that hook up to the air inlet pipe? jtmuncher
There are no hoses etc... on the air inlet pipe. I was in the process of replacing the air inlet pipe with one that has a nipple so I could hook up the oil separator. As for the pipes, that thought crossed my mind...man this car gonna be the end of me. Thanks for help btw.
