jahjah
I had racing seats instaleld into my 87 Starion i had... problem was using the stock brackets the seats sat too high and the seat would actually hit the ceiling. i would strongly suggest against wasting your time with stock brackets. Definitely. Even a good set of aftermarket brackets are few and far between. Custom fabbed is the only way to go IMHO.

EddieT
Did u ever do the install did work with your stock brackets? yes I installed one seat for now http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q285/etboost/seat3.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q285/etboost/seat2.jpg http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q285/etboost/seat1.jpg it is a little higher than stock, but not that bad. The seat is ~same height as stock, but the bottom cushion is thicker I'm 5'10" and there is still ~3" of room over my head
