Chad Posted August 31, 2007 Report Share Posted August 31, 2007 the dowel is most likey identical to the one in the head for the cam towers, lots of us have junk heads with lots of *free* dowels in them. As for the gasket, I'd just use some RTV glue, apply a thin even coating on both surfaces and allow it to dry fully, then when you bolt the halves together, the RTV will "squish" like a gasket and seal quite well. It's high temp stable and fuel compatable too, just like a gasket would be. You can also jsut try the DIY gasket paper route, but that's no fun.
