Jason87TSi
I might sound dumb here, but I have to know. I have 7" wide wheels on the front and 8"s on the back. Pretty standard, right? If i were to convert to the 8"s on front and 9"s on back, would my 8"s work on the front? Also, would this setup even work on my '87 without looking all goofy? Where could I get these new wheels anyway? Thanks. Jason
lloydXmas
the offset is different for the rears and fronts. take a look you'll see how the backs go in more in the middle of the wheel than the fronts do.
heefner
Lloyds right, the rear 8's are diffrent than the front 8's. The offset of ther rear would make the front tires stick out too far if placed on the front. The correct rims ie. front 8" and rear 9" would work on your car and look fine. If your intrested in upgrading check out Mark V. at starquestrims.com. He is a great guy. He offers professionally polished rims for a good price. Also check on the for sale boards. D_Venable
Front wheel offset is +18 mm for both the 7" and 8" rims, but the rear wheel offsets are -10 mm for the 8" rim, and 0 mm, or perfectly centered, for the 9" rim. Hope this helps you out.
