CherryTSi Posted December 30, 2003 Report Share Posted December 30, 2003 Does anyone know how to disconnect the front dash speakers in a 94 Eclipse/Talon...I want to keep the original wiring but want to replace the door speakers.... on the conquest this was relatively easy, the speakers are easy to get to, but in the eclipse they seem impossible to reach!! emann420 Posted January 9, 2004 Report Share Posted January 9, 2004 I forgot which dash is on the 94 but, if the grills are round on the top of the dash they just pop up and then disconnect them at the speaker. If it's the dash with the rectangle grills there should be one srecw on each grill and the pull toward the rear of the car, again just disconnect. I believe that the speakers are wired parallel so the door speakers should continue to work with the tweeters disconnected, if they don't just connect both tweeter wires together.
