Posted November 23, 2002 Report Share Posted November 23, 2002 i have an interesting problem with the cd player that i got off a friend for free, the volume will just go up and down whenever it feels like it, i dont know if it is something to do with the steering wh. controls, but its drivin me crazy and blowing my speakers. the friend i got it from said that it could be fixed but he heard that it was something radical like $200 ,so i would like to maybe find a cheaper route. any ideas????? jeff s Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
heefner Posted December 2, 2002 Report Share Posted December 2, 2002 try spraying electrical contact cleaner around the volume button. Make sure the radio is off. Posted December 2, 2002 Author Report Share Posted December 2, 2002 i might give that a try, but right now i got it at a volume where it will actually stay there, so i kind of dont want to mess with it, i have a sticker above the stereo that reads "Don't Touch Volume!", ;D, its so hard to keep from turning it up and down.
