HotrodTSi Posted February 26, 2004 Report Share Posted February 26, 2004 The only real weak items in the engine is the pistons under high boost conditions. Invest in a good set of Forged units. Also, remove the balance shafts and have the rotating assembly balanced by the machine shop. Other things to do...install ARP rod bolts and head bolts for added insurance. Lighten the Flywheel. Use a metal-shim headgasket for high rpm/boost situations. You can do most of this for the price of the Pauter Rods. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
