Sold!

It's time to sell the play toy. No rush but no reason to keep either. I have been daily driving but does need some TLC. I've driven to Jacksonville FL and back a few times recently w/o issue. Just under 150K miles

1800 OBO may trade for reliable automatic vehicle for my daughter

Extras include full set of 7's & 8's (needs tires with what might be overspray) and 86 specific odds and ends. Also have the original 86 Starion turbo rear hatch and a fender. I'm sure there are other things I can't recall right now.

Currently runs pretty strong with the setup listed in signature. Black interior with 88-89 front seats is decent considering age (came with maroon interior which was demolished by the sun). Tires are in good condition. Just had the radiator rodded and tested to 20PSI. New thermostat too.

Most notably bad:

* Satin black latex paint (obviously not professional!). Driver front fender needs respray as I didn't get all the surface rust off and it flaking off a little bit.

* Transmission typically pops out of 1st and sometimes 3rd but hasn't gotten worse and if you hold it in gear when engaging the transmission it will hold every time.

* Cracked windshield and sunroof

* Few exhaust manifold studs stripped causing the manifold to get loose after a while. I've been gently re-tightening about once a year (wanted to get it helicoiled).

* Disconnected wastegate (flapper valve on turbo sticks causing it to stay open if the wastegate is connected limiting boost...just have to be cautious with throttle input).

* 1 of 4 SHP struts is bad (knocks too). Currently running non-shp front driver which is leaking too but is working.

* Smokes sometimes on startup (valve seals I believe)

* Exhaust leak just before the muffler. Not too bad but a little noticeable.

* Tends to run a bit hot if left to idle after driving for 20+ minutes (meaning it sits at about 3/4 on the gauge). DOES NOT OVERHEAT and has not caused issue. I usually let run for minute or 2 after driving and then turn it off and once you start driving it drops down immediately. I think the A/C in front of it might be restricting air flow

* A/C doesn't work. I converted it to the new stuff and it worked for a season and a half. Not sure what happened...just stopped turning on one day.

I've tried to be up front as possible but I might have missed something (good or bad). It runs well but will need some work to be perfect.

Feel free to ask questions. Thanks.
