LOCATION: Belton, TX

SHIPPING: If the buyer makes the arrangements, i can help facilitate getting it loaded up. Obviously all costs would be additional to the cost of the vehicle.

MILEAGE: Unknown. Speedometer and Odometer has never worked since I bought the car almost a year ago.

PRICE: 2900 OBO

RUNS: Yes, but there is a parasitic draw. If i disconnect it before it sits for any extended amount of time it starts and runs fine. Even overnight it seems to hold enough of a charge start in the morning.

MANUAL/AUTOMATIC: Automatic

ENGINE MODS: No major mods. The radiator has been replaced with the 240sx/sr20 swapped radiator and cooling fans are hardwired in. I intended on running a temp switch but never really got around to it.

NON-FUNCTIONAL PARTS/FEATURES OR PROBLEMS: speedometer, odometer don't work but tachometer, voltage, oil pressure, temp and boost work fine. A/C and Heat work fine but im not sure all the actuators are working to change modes. Original audio unit is in and equalizer and radio work but cassette deck does not work. Drivers auto seat belt does not work.

RUST?: no visible rust that i have come across

OPTIONS: sunroof

DESCRIPTION:

I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR AS A DAILY DRIVER FOR ALMOST A YEAR. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES WELL. BURNS A LITTLE BIT OF OIL BUT NOTHING MAJOR. I DO ENJOY DRIVING THIS CAR BUT MY COMMUTE IS ABOUT 40 MINUTES EACH WAY AND THIS CAR DOESN'T GET THE BEST GAS MILEAGE SO I WOULD LIKE TO FIND SOMETHING A LITTLE BETTER ON GAS.

THE GOODS

RUNS AND DRIVES WELL.

AC AND HEAT WORK. STILL HAS R12 SO ITS PRETTY NICE IN THE SUMMER AND THE HEAT IS GREAT.

NEW RADIATOR AND THERMOSTAT.

NEW INJECTORS.

NEW EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET.

NEW PLUGS.

TIRES ARE ABOUT 80% TREAD LIFE.

BRAKES ARE STILL GOOD.

NEW ALTERNATOR.

THE NOT-SO-GOOD

THERE IS A PARASITIC DRAW ON THE BATTERY BUT I JUST DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE CABLE IF THE CAR SITS FOR EXTENDED PERIODS. SPEEDOMETER DOESN'T WORK. PRETTY SURE ITS THE VSS BUT I HAVEN'T REALLY INVESTIGATED THE MATTER SINCE I DO MOSTLY HIGHWAY DRIVING. DOES BURN A LITTLE OIL. MAYBE 1/4 TO 1/2 QT BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. POWER STEERING LINE IS SEEPING. I THINK I HAVE TOPPED IT OFF ONCE IN THE PAST YEAR. TINT HAS FADED AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND STRIPPING IT OFF AND REDOING IT. DRIVER AUTOMATIC SEAT BELT DOES NOT WORK.

MY PLANS WERE TO PULL THE ENGINE AND REBUILD IT AT TAX TIME BUT HONESTLY I THINK I JUST NEED TO FIND SOMETHING BETTER ON GAS. IF I CANT SELL OR TRADE THE CAR BY THEN, THEN I WILL REBUILD IT. MOST OF MY PICTURES ARE TOO LARGE TO UPLOAD AND I AM NOT COMPUTER SAVVY ENOUGH TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE THEM FIT, SO I CAN TAKE MORE PICTURES AND EMAIL THEM TO YOU IF THERE IS SOMETHING SPECIFIC YOU WOULD WANT TO SEE.THE PRICE IS SOMEWHAT NEGOTIABLE AT $2900 OBO AND I AM OPEN TO TRADES. IDEALLY I WOULD LIKE TO FIND A SMALL HONDA CIVIC HATCHBACK OR COUPE PREFERABLY WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION IN SIMILAR CONDITION OR A CLASSIC VW TYPE 3 OR BUG. JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE AND MAYBE WE CAN WORK SOMETHING OUT. THE CONQUEST DOES NEED WORK BUT MOST CARS THIS AGE DO REQUIRE SOME SORT OF MAINTENANCE BUT I'M SURE ANYONE ON THIS SITE CAN APPRECIATE THAT, SO I WILL ASSUME THAT YOUR TRADE WILL REQUIRE SOME WORK AS WELL IF THAT IS AN OPTION YOU. I ALSO HAVE A FRONT LOWER VALANCE FOR THE CAR STILL IN THE BAG THAT I WILL THROW IN WITH THE CAR. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME WITH QUESTIONS OR OFFERS AND I WILL TRY TO GET BACK AS SOON AS I CAN. THANKS FOR LOOKING.

OMG, Belton, Tx. Lived in Temple for 4 years, drove around Belton every day to Ft. Hood. Bought my Flatty in Waco in '85. Still have it, probably should have trashed it years ago and feel pretty waco for restoring it. Just had to chime in when I saw Belton, brings back tons of memories.

Good luck with the sale.
