87starionkid Posted October 1, 2012 Report Share Posted October 1, 2012 i have a 87 starion and it has rust behind dash. does anyone know exactly what rust back there and does anybody have the same issue and/or has pix of there interior with the dash removed? i want to have an idea before i take my dash off. Burton Posted October 4, 2012 Report Share Posted October 4, 2012 Could be something as simple as a heater core springing a leak and making some rusty areas or as bad as a leaky windshield that allowed the whole firewall to rust and rot. I think the dashes suck to pull. Some people say they can have them in and out in an afternoon, but It usually takes me at least 2 or 3 hours to get them out.
