88Starionblk
i had a aluminum rad made for me and its bigger than stock. there is no way to put the stock fans back on so i have slim fan im going to use since i have a parts conquest i was going to use the plug for the original fan so i can hook it up to my orignal plug for the car. Can i do this using stock plugins and will it still kick on or am i better off runnin a toggle?

DryBear
Most people running aftermarket radiators will add a bung for the sensor in the radiator. If you don't run the sensor, just run the line that would go to the sensor to a ground point. The downside is that the fan will always be running. Scotty Dont
Put thermo switch somwhere in the cooling system or run an external thermo switch http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HDA-3647/
88Starionblk
well i told the guy making my rad to put all sensors in and it took him more than 6 months to do my rad for me so when i got it and seen he didnt i didnt wanna wait a year for it lol in interested in the external thermo switch though sounds like it might be a little easier to to make work with what i got have you seen these if so where are they running them and where to find one? Seekerz
Im running my fans off a switch. Im using 10 gauge wire, an inline fuse 25/30 amp, and toggle switch rated for 20V DC if i remember right, I had a melt down so Im speaking from experience lol.The down sides I was also told it could kill the alternator and the battery if left like that to long and if you forget to turn them on your car will overheat in no time.
