Killtodie
latest instructions i got from evga was to place a pee size'd (aprox 5/16" ) drop in the center of the cpu and alow the heat sink to spread it out evenly , but it seems if you ask 5 guys you'l get 5 diff directions This method also works but is less precise. Its better to spread it yourself.
drummer030201
Spread method also takes any possibility of putting to little, or to much thermal paste on. Not to mention you know you have full coverage when you spread it yourself, rather than hoping you get a good spread doing the pea sized method. You should also try to clean up your wiring a bit. I know it's and older machine, but anything hindering air flow hinders cooling. Heat shrink, or zip ties to keep the wires together and out of the way. KTD knows I'm OCD when it comes to wire management, he has seen my PC build on Facebox. For what it's worth, Muzzy
