starion1991
After I've dropped the 86 running gear in my flatty I need to figure out a way to get the fans off the 86 running on this flatty. The flatty never came with electric fans. Although it dose have an ac fan of some sort. What would be the best way of running these wide body fans? SFBMX88
Do you still have the 86 radiator? It has the temp switches mounted in it to trigger the fan relays. You will also have to make a harness for the fans which will include relays and fuses. I currently run two 12" fans rated at 10 amps each, so I run two relays, and fuse each circuit with a 20amp fuse.
starion1991
Yup, have the 86 rad and sensors. Could you snap a few pics of your fan setup for me? Also where do you have the main power running?
SFBMX88
I ran the power to the fans straight from the battery. The fans will even run with the ignition switch off, but thats the way I wanted it. I also added another circuit with a switch in the cabin so I can ground the relays to turn the fans on manually.
