That is good news. I want to be able to tune it my car myself, but I don’t really want to spend the money RIGHT now on a wide band...if I don’t need to. I can pay for an hour tune on the dyno. Once he gets me close, I will pick one up after I recoup some of this hard spending...lol

I bought the BOSH O2 replacement for the car. Is there a specific "Heated" one to get or is this one? It makes perfect sense what you are saying, but isn’t that the CTS's job to warm up the car..dump more fuel until normal operating temperature is achieved, then the O2 Kicks in to close the loop? Do I have that correct?

CTS when cranking is looked at to set the base "MAP", they say "MAP" value in the service manual but the car has no "MAP" sensor so that confuses some. Its meaning a base fuel map. The CTS is for cold starts to add fuel enrichment. If the ECU sees the 02 is hot its assuming you are already driving and has had time to warm up and the CTS isn't used the ECU goes right to looking for the air fuel to adjust the fuel map.

Any 02 that has at least three wires has a heater. Cheapest one I just saw was a Ford 3 wire for 9.99, just cut the plug off.

You should really get a service manual or download one.

Here's a link with the ECI pages of the service manual that explains how it works.
