TRACK BEAST
Hey whats up guys... Saw this on the SF BAY AREA Craigslist ads on thursday oct 28th, and i bought her for 500 on Friday oct 29th. Shes a 5 speed, with 94,XXX miles. Couple of dings n dents, clear coats peeling, and engine has no rust and she has a CA clean title. Anyways when i brought her home, i didnt have chance to work on her till sunday morning oct 31st. I ran into a bit of things. Before she was put on non-op, PO said that the car ran perfectly fine till one day the engine suddenly died on the freeway. After that she was towed home and kept there until they could rebuild her but never got the chance to do that.. Anyways. I put everything together cranked her up and her a loud slapping noise, so i turn off the car. i check around to see everything alright. so i started to disassemble the entire top end and found that the bolt on the harmonic balancer WAS LOOSE! you can tighten it by hand or unloosen it by hand! i also found water in the 3rd cylinder and when i turned the motor cylinder #2 was dead. she moved down but never came back up. Great heres another motor that needs a rebuild l0l! i also found mickey mouse wiring under the hood such as fusible links that were home made but made with a sloppy job replaced them with oem,cut wires, so much crap. so heres a couple pics. Anyone have suggestions as to what i should build the motor with? for smog and street legal! l0l.. VICE
She is very pretty my friend and she was good on your wallet! Take care of her and she will take care of you... Go with some High Compression Wiseco Pistons .40 over for the rebuild.
