Skullzaflare Posted October 20, 2010 Report Share Posted October 20, 2010 i picked up a new motor today, and plan to swap it in morning is there a guide for it? i think ill pull engine onlyso unhook all wires, pull radiator/battery, airflow sensor, piping, remove starter, unbolt flywheel shield from transhow many bolts are in the trans to block? 4?and of course remove hoses think i can have it done in 1 day? 19cturbo Posted October 20, 2010 Report Share Posted October 20, 2010 i got mine out from the top, unless your using a lift.. a long 14mm wrench works best.. or a regular 14mm wrench and a cheater bar.. lol.. all tranny bolts ar 14mm, and the two starter bolts as well.. Skullzaflare Posted October 20, 2010 Author Report Share Posted October 20, 2010 Unbolt the power steering pump from the engine and let it hang so you don't have to refill it later.ok, i did that 15 minutes ago lolso far i have the starter off, intake pluming off, turbo off, downpipe hanging, ps pump off, alt wiring off, ground strap off, starter off (hated those bolts), flywheel cover off, 2 bottom tranny bolts off, radiator out, all 4 motor mount bolts out, wiring harness connectors disconnected from what i can tell, all i have left is heater hoses and top 2 tranny bolts Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

87Black_Stallion Posted October 20, 2010 Report Share Posted October 20, 2010 Also check the clutch plunger rod to make sure it didn't slip out and is now cocked sideways making the clutch fork sit out farther keeping the two from coming together.
