OBSESSIVE_ENT.
ok i forgot to account for FB shrinkage so I had to bondo the edges with this gold filler it actually works and sands better than bondo http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120102_104604.jpg i have a strut issue on the drivers side so i will have to cut out that bump and graft over again. and now since ill be using mid-bass in the top holes I have to partition the sub boxes. mid-bass needs less air so it shouldnt be too bad. OBSESSIVE_ENT.
well i finally tested the subs (still waiting for doe) and on all but one the center glue seporated, when the bass hits the center rattles. i was going to used bike tube glue but since im rocking audiobahn ill get another set of two then the mid bass for the other two. anybody knows how you treat speaker material one friend of mine said to wipe them with wd40 but i dont know about that. lol
OBSESSIVE_ENT.
ok got a pair of mtx thunders and on hold for the pair of beyma mid subs. also mtx bullets and beyma 6.5s for down the center in the rear. I think each mtx will run each of the thunder and a single mtx 700 for the pair of beymas. the kenwood will run the house.http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120520_194135.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120520_194118.jpgI will use some plexi and that aluminium bar for the 700 amp. for now its cut refiberglass and cut and refiberglass http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120521_105429.jpg
Burton
Don't use WD40 on subs. Some subs it may not hurt, but it will degrade most of them. Did the subs come apart when you were testing them in the car, or did you see the separation before you installed them? If it happened during testing, I suspect it's damage to the subs due to not enough airspace in the enclosures.
OBSESSIVE_ENT.
I dont think so Burton they were fine when i took them out. I think when i took them out last year i didnt store them correctly (two were in the garage just on a desk with cardboard over the face and the other two in my basment in thin pastic. the subs are about 8 years old seeing a lot of music play (not at the amp limit and the gain was down on both amps). the centers didnt separate tottaly just a fingernail's depth but when i turn it up it it starts to rattle. I had the crazy idea of using bike inner tube glue to fix it then after not finding a decent shop to repair them I said to hell with it and got a new pair of subs and the mid bass combo. so I have 4 10 inch audiobahn 300's that make very pretty paperweights lol. the old configuration had two sharing a small space and was seald. this new set up because of the less air requirements of the midbass the other subs have more air space (a bit more than a cube foot) each enclosure sounds good so far by ear and im banking on the 6.5 mid bass and the bullets to cover up any flubs. its not like its going to be a tahoe killer like Mead's trucks. might have to invest in an EQ not sure, we will see as i save money. still got a r154 tranny, custome drive shaft and a bosch fuel pump to get. lol

OBSESSIVE_ENT.
carpet matting is as good as any dynomat and half the weight/price lol. after long consideration i think ill take the easy way and cover the surfaces instead of paint them. http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120608_144246.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120608_144240.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120608_144230.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120608_144221.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120611_134253.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120611_134218.jpg first two layers of the tv cover in the backhttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120611_134129.jpgstill waiting on transmission money and mount money looks like the inside will catch up or pass the outside. OBSESSIVE_ENT.
ok so the celing is up and im pleased. I fiberglassed the roof and shrinkage warpped it a little bit. I will have to find a way to hide the gap by the top of the door sill. the speakers are wired and as you can see so are the lights. I had to act like a dead cockaroach with my feet holding up the front corners, my one hand holding one side, and the other balancing a screw on a screwdirver (that thing isnt comming down any time soon. here are some pics of the celing lit and un lit.. http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120721_184942.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120721_191135.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120721_191023.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120721_190933.jpghttp://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/obsessive88/IMG_20120721_191045.jpg
