Komeuppance
One of my friends who is crazy about Z's drove my car the other day. I was sitting it in the passenger seat, and I told him to floor it... and it put me back in the seat. I was thinking, damn... this thing moves. Guess I just got used to it, driving like I'm on a Wangan run. He really wants one, but has 4 Z's. I drove his 280zx (turbo)... and it wasn't too exciting to me, rack and pinion was much nicer though, ha. 9psi on his stock turbo L28. When were driving down the back roads next to my place, my exhaust scraped... he thought it was his fault. I just laughed and said, "Don't worry, that's normal." We headed out to the race track to watch the drag races, on our way we smashed through a bunch of awesome mountain roads. My car held up great for the 45 minute detour of full throttle pulls, heavy braking, and corner attacking. I did notice the coolant temp was a bit above normal at about 195F. On the main strip we got lots of looks and revs as we brought the 80's back in style. Here's a shot of his car I took cruising the main strip at sunset:http://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/ReuelsZsmall.jpg My car isn't crazy modified for power, 14b at 11psi in a hand "machined" stock housing (haha), 3" exhaust... RFL Bov, but that's more for looks ha. It'll do 145+ easily. I need more BOOST!! -Robert
NudeLobster
I agree. It's different when your in the driver seat. My car feels slow when I drive, but when I'm in say muzzys car as a passanger or someone else is driving mine, It feels wayyy faster. Just something about driving I guess? I've always fathomed about it whenever I'm in the passenger seat of an SQ -Justin

NudeLobster
the 280zx turbo was one car I was hunting for when I was looking to buy, but I couldn't find any real nice ones for the right price. There was a REALLLLLLYYYYYYYY nice non turbo in fort wayne, but at that time it was too far to drive...and non turbo.... Full body kit (good looking Z body kit not the ricey ones), 80's aftermarket wheels, mint interior, metallic gray..so gorgeous.
