JSwan
My stock wheel is trashed. Anyone with an NRG steering wheel having good or bad luck? How about Pilot or Grant Steering wheel owners? Just want to get some install opinions before i commit to anything. looks like they all need an adaptor of some sort and i'm hearing that some might need to be welded on...? jswan

Cobalt60
This is a Grant GT I got from Advance Auto. IIRC I had to wait a couple days for the adapter to arrive at the store. Basically, this is the smallest steering wheel I could find. I think its about 12 or 13 inches. Install was easy. http://i1001.photobucket.com/albums/af139/Co-60/GrantGT.jpg Edited December 16, 2009 by Cobalt60

That would open up more options i'm sure. i wouldn't mind spending a bit more money for a leather wheel as long as i'm not buying a $110.00 adapter and have to weld it on like for the new NRG quick release type (which is all i see offered it seems). The quick release is overkill for me...

BTW, i see your missing the little maroon rectangle cap opposite side of the wiper cancel switch under the steering wheel (where your right knee goes). its been a PITA tracking that piece down for me... A lot of random panels were removed when I bought the car, but a lot of them are just in the back of the car. Its possible I still have that piece. How about an even trade for my shitzu and the blue PCV valve to TB hose i won at nationals?...lol you know you need some more deep blue under the hood of that flatty...... well, i think i've decided to go with a two tone black and maroon NRG, since my vision is to mix black and maroon interior in my quest some day.. with everyones help, i decided to go with the Momo adapater for a 1g eclispe on this NRG wheel which looks compatible: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170416901582&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT jswan
pitboss
IDK, the smooth rounded hunks of steering wheel and all it's pieces from the 1G clashes with all the straightness in the cabin. I'd go with a Grant I think. 4 spoke.

If anything tickles your fancy let me know as I want everything maroon out of my car. mine is burgandy too and if it wasn't such a pain, i would swap it all for black or even better tan if i could find it. However, i have two kids and no time so i will be just piecing some black into it starting with the door panel hand rests and see where it goes.... if you have the square piece we were talking about earlier, i will buy that off of you. jswan
