  1. Ono, Good talking to you. Thanks for leaving a number. - Interior is about a 7 because of the seats - Rims are not stock and you most likely want stock. Guys, I had a mandatory Christmas party today, didn't sleep last night from being under the weather. I slept the daylight away afterward so didn't get pictures. My apologies. Pictures will be uploaded and emailed to those who left email addresses.
  2. Fanta, You may be right. Most of the miles are highway miles. I'm in NC but I have driven to FL a few times and with my kids in upstate NY, it's been some driving! I would see them on holidays or when I took leave (vacation). It is the original engine. I was looking forward to seeing the 300K mark and celebrating but that's no longer in the plans. I drive a 99 Maxima now for the extra room and trunk space.
  3. When I say it's not in perfect condition I mean, - there are some nicks (darn careless people), - a small dent in the front, - driver's door hinge needs replaced - has some rust by it. - the airdam could be fixed or replaced,- - and the leather seat on driver's side needs re-upholstered. Folks, I'm really upfront about anything and everything you need to know. I am also looking for serious inquiries. I've held onto it because it's been with me for the last 11 years and has lots of sentimental value. I want it to go to a good home with someone who can appreciate it. I know most enthusiasts here can so I'm good. It has never "resided" in NY. That is just where my kids were moved to. I am currently stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC. I bought it here and it has been here always with the exception of a 3 year tour in southern MD. I returned to NC 6 months ago. I have gotten several replies for pix and I plan to get them uploaded in the next few days. Thank you all for considering my ride for your next ride or project. - DrkRaven
  4. Guys, I hate having to do this but I'm selling my TSi. - Black on black - 234K miles - Running - Not in perfect condition - as it's almost 20 years old. - A few mods, nothing major. KYB GR-2's all the way around, modded air box, larger crank. My kids are now 14 and 13, live in NY and TSi is too small to cart them back and forth with all their stuff. Just went through divorce and need to sell. First $1000 Takes it. Don't have pictures yet but should be able to figure out how to upload them this weekend. DrkRaven Yahoo Messenger handle - DrkRaven1

  6. 351, Sorry Hoss but it seems there are no adjustable replacements for our cars. I think Mistu had the monopoly on the stock adj suspension or something. If your stock adj strut goes bad you have two choices. a) Buy the stock adj from the dealer at $300+ each, or go to the non-adj setup. TEP shows you how to turn your stock adj's into non-adjs but they require cutting and welding. I had the stock adj and was frustrated and wasn't up for the cutting and welding. I had ONE adj and on NON-adj up front. I had one shipped from a yard for $65 (you can find some stuff pretty decently priced at www.oem-car-parts.com), then ordered KYB inserts for the front and KYB full strut units for the rear. I'm a happy camper now. MUCH better. Some (including TEP) say Tokicos are the best. I also hear they're stiffer than KYB. I personally use my car as a daily driver and don't require too aggressive a suspension so I went with KYBs from Tirerack.com. I hope this helps you some. Wayne
  7. I know that Mitsu interchanged parts on the StarQuests with other vehicles like Monteros, Cordias, Tredias, Galants, etc. And since they are MUCH more common than our cars... perhaps if we know what can be found on what.... we can be much more successful locating those much needed small things that the dealer charges exponentially for. For instance.... does the radiators or clutch fans from the others have the same part numbers as those used on StarQuests? We should have an index or search were we could Xreference and then go get the goods!!! I hope this makes sense. DrkRaven
  8. Elias, Was that a difficult thing to do? I'm thinking of getting KYB GR-2's instead of Tokicos. Did they just bolt right on or was there some fabrication required? I'm deciding and ordering something today so I'm investigating before I jump on the wrong option. Thanks. DrkRaven
  9. Hah!!!! I JUST had that happen to me a couple of days ago. I just got the dang hood open last night. Took me a few hours up under the car to figure out I couldn't get past the darn pusher fan to see what the heck I was doing. For me, I didn't have the tools and guys if your StarQuest hasn't been molested, there are about 5 clips besides the two screws that hold the grill in place and you have to get to the clips AFTER getting into the hood. After all that...... I figured out how to jimmy it open with a coat hanger. Mine appears to have lost the ball off the cable at the hood end. A lesson learned indeed. Email or call me if you need any pointers. Now, I have to do it again so I can replace my cable. DrkRaven drkraven1@yahoo.com
