  1. I drive my 87 about 50 miles round trip every day. Some parts of the highway make some noise. Wind, seems to be the major culprit. What has someone done to quiet the road noise and how well did it work out? Thanks Mark
  2. Matt, Speaking of cops. Get on kazaa, morpheus or winmx and search for DSM police chase or eclipse chase or talon chase. There is a video of a bad a** talon running like hell from the cops. He would have made it if his car hadnt broken dow. It was stolen and he had some great moves. 120 and passing cars in the grass! Great stuff. There is also one of a 15 year old driving a stolen M3 from the cops. He is running from a LT1 camaro cop. The cop wrecks! Great! Mark
  3. You dont yet man? I really want one, err make that two I have 2 quests. err make it 3 make me a set for my blazer too. Let everyone know when you are ready to sell them. Let me know if you need anything that can speed up the process. Mark
  4. Hello guys! I am in the process of getting my other conquest running again for the first time in over a year! Cant wait! The car has a few dings and dents, we are going to fix them. They were there when I bought it, I didnt do it. But I noticed that when we get it painted we will loose the stickers on the front and back! It doesnt have the TSi sticker on the sides but it has Conquest TSi on the back and front. I have an 87 with all of them in perfect order. I was wondering if anyone had the font that they are made with so that I can get another set made for after we get it painted. I ask about the font because I want to get some kind of banner put on the windshield in the same font. I dont know what I want yet but I will let you know. Mark P.S. - I have something else I want to do with this font but it is a secret and I will let you know and see what it is done when I do it.
  5. JamesR, Did the Poly. bushings help out much? I think thats what they are called. The red things on your sway bar. Where did you get them and what kind/size? Mark
  6. I would definately buy a front. I would get the rear only if you can make it clear my sub box! I would never give up my babies. Seriously the front tri bar looks great. Pics of the strut towers and where they attach to the firewall would be great. Let us know some prices, I would shell out the cash today if it were priced right. Mark
  7. MoMagnum, Could you please provide more information on how you did this? I have been trying to figure out a plan of attack for a couple of weeks now. I think with some help I might be able to get mine looking about as good. I just installed Autometer Boost and A/F Cobalt gauges under my blue Pioneer radio, with the HKS turbo timer (lights up blue) mounted on the top of the stock radio pocket. I have been messing around with the clock for a test piece. Any information would be great! Thanks in advance Mark
  8. O yeah, I have seen an old Buick with two red runners under the front bumber to look just like nightrider. They sell them at Advance, just take two and put one right side up and the other upside down. I thought it was very stupid myself. Not as cool in person. Plus that doesnt help in running from the cops.
  9. Superquest, It happened exactly how I described. Not kidding. But I dont really want to argue if it happened or not. I have a 5 speed and can downshift to slow down but your tail lights are still on if you turn on the head lights. I might just install really bright fog lights and wire them to work alone. The night vision didnt provide enough resolution. Smoke flare, tire spikes, oil slick and model rocket motor powered missile are in the works. More information later.
  10. No, I just love driving fast. My room mate and I were racing some ricer and cops started fallowing. OK chasing. He cut off his lights and made a mad dash. We got away, for 20 seconds. Long story short it was the brake lights not the tail lights that gave us away. The cop already passed us then turned around because he saw the brake lights. But he had to use them. They let him go and were cool about it. Said we had some good moves too. Mark
  11. This sounds VERY cool. I am thinking seriously of doing this. Does anyone have any input on building one of these? Like what tools and materials to use and what kind of precautions to use? Should I do the NO2 solenoid? Will it help that much? Now I have to paint my paintball tank to look like a no2 bottle. Thanks, Mark
  12. Dude, get a real radio and if you really want the steering wheel controls buy a PAC SWI (Steering wheel interface) I think it is the SWI 6. For the money you can get a real cd player. Mark
  13. Sup guys. I need an electrical genius. I am shooting for a way to disable all lights on the back of the car. Tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, backup lights, and license plate lights. I still want the headlights to work. The reason for this is incase someone were to be chasing me (I have no idea who!?!) I dont want them to see when I am braking, backing or see my license plate, but the headlights still working. I am thinking I will need some kind of relay to make it reliable. I was thinking one switch for everything and one switch for just the license plate (incase I fly by someone at 130 dont want them getting my plate number) Obviously I will need a relay that cuts power to the lights all together so that the lights dont turn on when I brake. What do you think and how should I go about doing it? I already have a button labeled "Chase Mode" Thanks Mark
  14. Optimus, Seriously man, get a new stereo. It is not that hard to install. Plus an aftermarket radio makes all the difference in the world in sound quality, even with stock speakers. My pioneer bolted right up to the factory mounts without a problem. I didnt use the 'anti-theft' bracket that comes with it because you can just yank the stereo out if you use it. It makes it easier to get to the back if you use it but I would rather not have it stolen ($350) By bolting it directly to the mounts you cant get it out! It sits flush on the top and to the sides. Plus this allowed me to install my turbo timer, boost and A/F under the radio in the space that I saved by using a single din radio. Double din - the height of the stock radio Single din - half the size of the stock radio, same height as your normal stereo's sold today. Plus you can install a DVD player or TV in one of the dins if you want. Play xbox while driving! Sega GT for xbox has a starion!
