  1. Hope you guys enjoy reading this... http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autos-midsize/badges-of-honor-the-best-imported-cars-to-wear-an-american-badge/ss-AAf78mz?ocid=HPCDHP#image=1
  2. Hello Jay! I hope you are doing well.... I am glad to read you are very passionate about bringing the Conquest to the next level. I would love to see what you have done to it so far, but as you may know, I already moved out of MA.....just missing the crazy winter you guys had! lol! You have no idea how many times I have regreted selling my car....I really miss it!, but it gives me great satisfaction to know that I couldn't have found a better guy to take ownership and care for the car, the same or better than I did with my limited resources. You are now looking for someone knowledgeable in these cars near MA.....I did the same thing a couple of years ago while I was still in MA, but you will soon realize that there are no gurus near by.....which is dissapointing. It was for me!. Based on my former research, the nearest shop that do great stuff for these machines, is in Maryland or Virginia. I don't remember his name, but he does alot of 2JZ swaps. Something that I was never interested on. Best of luck my friend, and I hope you do great things with "my black beauty"....maybe, Ill buy it back from you if you ever get bored! lol! BTW, do you still have the amphicar and the land cruiser?
  3. You cannot receive any messages.....has the address on your paypal account been corrected?
  4. They were Yokohama ES100. I think they no longer make them as of 2 years ago
  5. Hahaha! I didn't have to. I really wasn't sure about if I really wanted to let it go. I was playing with the idea for a couple of weeks (more out of pressure from my boss....sorry... My wife!) There are a few changes going on in my life right at the moment. I'm about to become a father for the first time, and my wife and I are planning to move to a different state by the end of the year. So, the more complicated my life became in these past months, the less time I had to really drive and enjoy my toy. It was becoming a garage ornament! Everything happened very quickly and precisely. I thought of posting it for sale here on the forum, but I realized that the few cars that lately had come up for sale on SQC..or by linking them here from ebay (the few the actually were in good to excellent condition to be worthy of collecting) were getting negative reviews or the owners were getting critized due to their asking price. That's one thing I never agreed with some of the members on this forum. I never understood why our own community always inclined to underestimate the value of these amazing machines. That's something that is beyond my comprehension! This is why I was hesitant to post it here. I didn't want to deal with criticism nor was I going to deal with people making me feel like I had to explain or defend the reasons why I thought my car was worth what I decided to ask for it. Fortunately for me, the buyer and ultimately the car this aggrevation did not happen.... There were a couple gentlemen that took the iniciative to contact me by PM's to inquire about the car. Soon enough, one of these nice gentlemen came to an agreement with me, and the business transaction was completed. This individual is a true car enthusiast that has some amazing cars decorating his garage. That's why the sadness of letting go of my car gets a bit attenuated by the fact that, it will indeed be taken good care of. At the end, me as the owner-seller knew the value of this fine example, and I was pacient and lucky enough to met with a buyer that understood and appreciated its value as well and that realized that it's very hard to come by one of these cars in original configuration and great honest shape.
  6. Hey bud, you can go 3 different routes: -MOOKIE still sales front and rear shock absorbers. There will not be the adjustable kind as the original SHP's but they will be new ( I think they only come in red color) -You can dismount the original SHP and send them to California to TOP END PERFORMANCE, where they gut them out and install new inserts, but again they will not be adjustable. The good thing is that I heard you can request any brand of insert to be used as this will be handled as customized work. -Purchase D2 coilovers. In some eyes this will be the best way to go, but it will not hold the original configuration nor the stance as the original OEM set up.
  7. Well...unfortunately for me my beautiful 89' black SHP Starquest has found a new home. I'm still in shock about the fact that I actually let it go. I know it deep in my gut I will never find another one like it. Fortunately, this great example has found a true new owner enthusiast that I am certain will take care off it. I hope he enjoys it as much as I did all these years. I'll miss her for sure!
  8. My father has seen this car in person in some local car shows down in Miami. He said the car is in prestine condition. The guy lives about 5 blocks from my father's business
