summitracing sells sensors that could work on our cars. I know these might be priced a little high but it is just another option for us to consider. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-890017/overview/ Fan Control, Thermostatic, 185 Degrees On/170 Degrees Off, Sending Unit, 3/8 in. NPT, Each $29.97 and if you want to keep it stock here is the secondary sensor. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-890018/overview/ Fan Control, Thermostatic, 200 Degrees On/185 Degrees Off, Sending Unit, 3/8 in. NPT, Each $29.97 just an option.

I was changing the oil in the Quest this weekend and I noticed my wiring in the knock sensor harness plug was (I believe) incorrect. It looks like a brown/white stripe (or black/ white stripe) shielded wire with a white wire inside. The PO has the shielded side soldered to one of the pins and the white one soldered to the other pin. I searched through the manual but I couldn't find the proper color codes that corresponded to the plug. However the sensor side has a black wire and a red wire Can someone elaborate on how this is to be wired properly so it works right, and let me know which order they go into the harness plug so that both sides are connected in the correct manner? Also, what symptoms will this cause if it has been hooked up incorrectly? Thanks guys. -N8
