  1. I'm so happy that you revived my car. It makes me happy that you were the one to buy it. It's been about year and a half, and although I will always miss driving the Conquest, you deserve credit for the outstanding renovation. I can't say enough how good a job you and your Dad did on this car. It's a good feeling that the car went to someone who really cared about doing a quality job.

Thank You for a job well done.

  2. Well French, it looks like you are definately bringing my old baby back to life. Good luck with the rebuild project. I'm glad it went to a good home. I would like to visit once you are complete. You have my home email so let me know.
  3. Well this is interesting, It says 05 12, yet I only count 6 blades... The guy said he had the turbo rebuilt before (I assumed to stock) but maybe ya'll can clear it up for me exactly what it is haha.

Also, if I reach into the inlet and pinch the nut at the center of the blades it has a noticable amount of free-play, is this normal? or does it need rebuilt? (this is my first turbo car but I get the feeling it shouldn't have any free-play)

Here are a few pictures of the turbo:

French, I'll send you the paper work on the turbo. I did have it upgraded. I'll check to see tomorrow.

  4. Well im pretty sure its stock. Previous owner says it is and its the same as other Conquests I've looked at who claimed a stock turbo..

And im not sure what the color of the car is now, it appears to have been repainted (if you look closely at some of the pictures maybe you can tell) Its original color was a fire-engine red color.

French, you may not remember, I had the turbo rebuilt when I did the Jasper engine 7 years ago. I'll send you the paperwork on that. You are making good progress.

  5. Any ideas on why my AC compressor want engage. It's full of freon and was working great before it just stop. I think it's the AC relay but not sure how to test it. Also need to know the part number. I've been searching for it for 2 weeks. Its starting to get hot!!! The one they ordered at O'Reilys wasn't even close. AC Relay
