  1. I know I'm getting a bit ahead of myself since I have not found the right local car yet but my plan is to buy a rollor or something with a blown motor to completely redo. Thankfully I'm in better financial shape now that when I bought my first quest in the mid 90's so it will allow me to do things the way I've always wanted to. The price on them is a little expensive but on the large scale of my plans and budget it's not to bad. On my last build, 95 TA, I almost pulled the trigger on a vette headlight conversion that was $1200. With the body lines on the 944 being similar I thought this may be a practical option. Once I have the right car in my possession and I pull the motor and interior ill get with a body shop for more input. Just throwing out some ideas....

  2. Hey guys been gone a long time but I'm getting ready to buy and restore another conquest and I was searching around the Internet for some ideas to get rid of te flip up headlights and I stumbled across these. Built for the mid 80's 944 (similar body style) and these may work well with some modification and body work....

I know when I was a regular on these forums this was often discussed topic and forgive me if someone had posted these before. Been lurking now and again but haven't followed the forums closely for some time. Lets hear what you guys think....

Btw it's good to see some old names on here. I wish I never sold my 3 quests I've had in the past... Can't wait to find the right car and get started

  3. I just found it amusing the way you sauntered in... flashed "cash" like a high roller...professed how you were ready to buy... stirred up the masses as they scrambled to curry your favor .... and then went...

    PSYCH ! I bought a Jetta!

    Hilarious!

    :rofl3: :rofl3:

Thats your perception and you are entitled to it but why stir up trouble? I looked at many great starquests but I didn't find the car that reached out and grabbed me. The car I absolutely had to have. I looked at so many cars and talked to allot of members. (made some new friends too) I've been driving my friends Jeep for the last two weeks and I had to make a decision. To spend that kind of money on a starquest that wasn't exactly what I wanted would be foolish, so I bought a dependable daily and set money aside for a starquest down the road.

Azstar I don't know you and I surely would not pass judgment on you or question your character.... and I don't want to keep going back and forth about this on this thread. If have anything else negative to say send as many pm's as you want other wise lets just put this subject to rest.

  4. you bought a jetta. wow.

well at least you will be able to outrun hondas and bakery trucks.

    i dated a GIRL once that owned a jetta.....haha.

Its a daily driver and not ment to outrun anything. I will buy a starquest again in the near future. Flame away all you want.... If it makes you feel better about yourself.

It was good talking to some of my old friends on here. Seems like the heart of the community is still strong!

  5. I just wanted to thank everyone for their help and responses! You guys posted up some beautiful cars for me to consider! I've spoke with a number of members and now I remember why I loved being a part of this community so much. I'm still looking but I've got a number of great leads on some very nice cars. Hopefully soon I'll be posting some pics of my new starquest!

  6. Click this link and read. It is currently pending sale, not sold yet though. Also, he wants at least 6500 for it and figures it would be more profitable and easier to liquidate by parting it out. Send him a PM if your interested. My only advice is to make sure the car you buy is well sorted out and has a good reputation.

Here's a trick. When you see a car you like go to that users profile. Then click on that users started topics. You will be able to review all threads started by that user. It will give you a good idea of the known issues with the car and its history. Hope this helps! Good luck.

    Thanks bro

  7. Why not repost somethying like "10K FOR A SUPER CLEAN STARQUEST SO WHATCHA GOT???" Then they should start streaming in...

Got some decent replies so far but I may try that. Burtons is sweet, and antitrust is amazing. I would by that in a heartbeat. Why did michael knight mean by its probably to late? I have some old starquest buddies that tell me I'm crazy but I've always said when I had the money I would do this. I just need a clean platform to start from and look out

  8. My SS sold and I'm ready to buy a starquest again! Willing to spend up to 10k(maybe a little more) on a super clean car. Heavy mods or light it doesn't matter to me. Distance isn't a real issue, I'll pay for shipping for the right car. I've owned three of these in the past and I was a member of the original boards so please don't bs me. My SS is being delivered Thursday so I can move on the right car as soon as next weekend. This should be fun. Let's see what you've got!

  9. I've never seen it in person but by the pics it's in the top 5 cleanest starquests I've ever seen. I'm hoping to have my truck sold in the next week or so and I've been considering contacting him and making an offer. It was listed for 15k a while back.... If a super clean fiji is what your looking for then this is the car if you have the flow. i happen to be looking for a super clean fili :)

  10. It's been a long time since I've posted on site. It's good to see the community is flourishing! I always said I'd get another conquest/starion one day and the time has come.

    2006 Chevy Trailblazer SS 3ss

Factory options: LS2 Corvette motor, Heated leather/suede seats, power adjustable foot pedals, power locks/windows, Bose sound system, sunroof etc... Vehicle has every option available with the exception of navigation/dvd.

Vehicle has the following mods profesionally installed: 630 lift custom grind comp cam, new pushrods, double valve springs, 160 thermostat, C-6 efans, ieatsrt8 intake, fully built transmission, dyno tune. The truck put down 357 rwhp and 363 ftlb torque on a conservative tune(90+ degrees outside). I left the factory exhaust for that full sleeper effect but with headers and cat back should put down over 400 rwhp. Depending on DA should be capable of high 12's in the quarter mile. Add a 3600 stall and mid 12's should be no problem. I was being conservative because it's a daily driver.

New Bridgestone Alenza 275/45/20 tires installed 3 months ago and I have R-1 concept slotted and drilled rotors that come with it but I have not installed yet.

All mods where performed last two months and car is in perfect running shape. Like new inside and out. 51k miles, almost all highway(I drive 80+ a day back and forth to work)

I've invested over 6k in after market parts and labor into this truck and it's very fast. It's an absolute terror from stop light to stop light. Nothing like out pulling Corvettes in an 4600 lb SUV. :)

I'm looking to sacrifice the truck for $19,000 and I have the title in hand. I'm more than willing to take a clean(modded or unmodded) starquest in trade. Willing to give up to 12k in trade value and travel anywhere for the right car So let's see what you have and let's make a deal!
