  1. I got it from JDM Engine Corp in Richardson, TX. Mainly the coil connectors are all that I have had issue with. Easy fix. I was going to pull the head and get it rebuilt but after pulling the valve covers and seeing how clean the valve train was I changed my mind. Importwarrior, you are correct. I have already ordered several items from driftmotion. Good prices http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps6a9f1ec8.jpg
  2. is this thing sold or what...
  3. might be a while, but I will definitely post them up.
  4. Motor came in yesterday afternoon. Looks like crap... all of the coil connectors came apart in my hands as I removed them. Going to get a valve job, arp head studs, cam gears and better head gasket just to be safe. This will be a long term project. I dont plan on posting every detail along the way here as its been very well documented by others already. I will post pics of items I had questions on tho just to fill in the gaps for those thinking about doing this in the future. Going to order motor mounts from vettkiller this week. Thanks http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/null_zps922b3427.jpg
  5. Its a long shot but worth a try. I sold this car to a member named Fritz back in 2003. I shipped the car from SA TX to Maryland. Im just wondering if anyone on here knows of its location. Here is a picture of it back in 01. Thanks TT
  6. Thanks. Ordered the non vvti motor. It was actually a little more than the vvti. Should be here next week. I look forward to seeing more pics/vids of your car.
  7. Guess I missed it. The first page starts with the motor already stabbed and running. Anyhow ill read it again. Thanks
  8. Once again great build. I have a few questions for you tho. I'm getting ready to order my 2jz aristo motor tomorrow. I noticed that yours isn't vvti (or correct me if I'm wrong). If that is the case, is there a reason you didn't go with the vvti? Secondly, i didnt notice where you got your motor. Im getting mine from jdm in TX. Also, at what point did you rebuild the motor? My goal is to be at slightly above 500 rwhp. Were you able to get 600 plus out of the stock motor? Ive read these stock motors are stout enough to handle 800whp. Sorry if I missed the answers to these questions in your thread. I've read it beginning to end several times now. Thanks and congrats on your build. Pretty damn amazing!
  9. Wow, that is sex on wheels. Well done.

    SOLD

Maybe we can work something out. I don't care for the motor or trans. Will need the wiring and ecu. I'm in San Antonio. Need something ASAP. Pm me.
  11. I spoke with them over the phone today, will prolly pay for it early next week. Thanks
  12. Thanks, please keep me in mind. Send me some pics. Ill contact texas88 today.
  13. Been out of the starquest seen for a while. Looking to get back in. Looking for a good rolling chassis in SA or TX that is in good shape. I would love black, Fiji, Silver, white.... Thanks
  14. Yes I did see it. I spoke to them a few times via email today. Thanks
  15. Looking to start another project. I have been reading as there is a lot of great information here and a few other places. My first question is, what is the best source for a 2JZ engine? I see them all day long on ebay from JDM, just not sure if anyone else has gone that route. Thanks for any advice. TT
  16. Great thread and beautiful car. Haven't been here in a while since I sold my Fiji 88. I've since moved on and now own a 731whp 04 Mach 1. Although its fun as hell to drive on the street, I miss my Conquest. I have been reading up on these swaps and they seem like a great option for me. My favorite car of all time: the Conquest/Starion...sickest motor, 2JZ. I am now looking for another Conquest shell and Supra motor so I can start the long process of getting this done. First question is where are you guys getting these motors? I see JDM has quite a bit of them on ebay for 1600 and up with auto trans.
  17. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I realize this is a long shot but I am looking for information regarding a Conquest I sold out of San Antonio, TX back in 2006. It was sold to someone named Fritz and he was located in Maryland. It was an 89 SHP black on black with white stripes and custom electric sunroof. Here are a few pics I could find. Please pm me with any information. Thanks http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/Conquestside.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/ConquestEngine1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/quest.jpg
  18. I sold that one a couple years ago. The shell was crushed but the motor lives on at over 530HP...itll be making over 700awhp soon. That is about all I can say about that now...
  19. Yes I did. Two members from this site and one from craigslist contacted me before you did. One of those potential buyers has committed. If it falls thru, and you're still interested, I'll contact you immediately. I did my best to contact people in the order they contacted me.
  20. It didnt have that panel when I purchased the car. I bought one off of ebay several years ago. I installed it just to fill the hole but removed it shortly after to put my radio there. I live in an area with fairly mild weather plus the fact that the car was sitting most of the time. It'll go with the car if/when sold. Ive gotten several PM's about this car...my apologies for not calling you guys back. Im at work and should be getting off at 6-7pmish.
