Hey guys Just wondering on a tbi megasquirt where do you guys plumb in the hose for the high idle solenoid?? Its a fairly big hose and not sure where it should go, the fitting on the driver side below the tbi makes sense to me. Also where do you get the mad singal from?? Just a little help would be appreciated, being up in canada i have never seen a starion in real life

Hey guys Just got a starion TBI set up for my mightymax and have a quick question... The intake maniflold I got was mising all the vacuum nipples from it. Got it figured out except there is one on the last two runners that is right where it splits from one runner to a two. It is a fairly small diameter thread which i assume is some sort of british pipe thread but I need to find something to fit in there.

Mighty max megasquirt questions
boostinmini posted a topic in MPI/Standalone Trials and Tribulations
Hey guys Been years since I have posted on here but I am on here looking for some help, actually eny help would be appreciated. I have a 4wd mightymax 2.6 that was carbed but I have converted to a Starion TBI set up. I have a MS1 v2.2 029y4 Newer TBI with 650/950 injectors I have it to the point where I can get it to start and run but only for about 10 seconds, so i dont know where to go from here, as far as the mechanical swap That was easy for me and it all looks factory type clean install but the programing part is making smoke come from my head thanks mike -
Hey it is me boostinmini. I sent it as long as I got u a tracking number. U can see exactly where it is. Also, u e-mail me like twice a day and I work 2 jobs so i can not really check my e-mails all the time. I guarentee I sent it. Just relax.

Spherical Rotary Valve Head
boostinmini replied to NU-TECH_inc.'s topic in Engine and Performance Mods
I have heard about these heads for a while and hear they are awesome. They sound like a freight train. -
Have any of you guys heard of mega squirt? It sems very economical and not to complicated. Please give any info possible. Check it out. http://www.bgsoflex.com/megasquirt.html

That looks awesome!! What kind of fuel management are you running? Is it the stock dsm?

fooling the ecu into giving more fuel
boostinmini replied to star_power's topic in Engine and Performance Mods
I found this on the net and it is a very common upgrade to get a tad bit more fuel. Try this out, http://shell.deru.com/~sgn1/AW11/Afmaf.htm -
swaping a g64b w/ g63t head for the g54b???
boostinmini replied to bboy1's topic in Engine and Performance Mods
I have heard but am not positive that you the rods in the 2.4 are the same as the 4g63. So that would mean one tough set of rods. Maybe you could use a set over sized talon turbo pistons. I wonder if the crank is forged? I think I am seriouse about doing this, I have a talon head here at the shop just need to source out a block. -

swaping a g64b w/ g63t head for the g54b???
boostinmini replied to bboy1's topic in Engine and Performance Mods
Lets say that I had a narrow 2.0 ram 50 transmission and had starion tranny guts in it. Could I put the 2.4 internals in the 2.0 talon engine? My concern is that the 2.4 block does not hav oil squirters for the pistons. The squirters are important cause they cool the pistons so that they do not melt in high boost situations. Most well designed turbo engines have them. -

Iam not sure if the water passage is required but on the isuzu it would be very easy to hook up. -
isuzu mpi manifold.
boostinmini replied to boostinmini's topic in MPI/Standalone Trials and Tribulations
Well I started on my mpi manifold a few days ago. I decided to go with the mazda as it in my oppinion is the most clean, well designed manifold. The isuzu looked to be the easiest manifold since the runners line up perfectand it would be the easiest to adapt for the water passage. I am rhotographing the whole series of mods for my maniold and will post them when done. The manifold will receive extensive mods but will not be a hack, I am going to do it right the first time so I do not have to do it again. TRUST ME It will be near perfect. I would really like it if someone would try the isuzu manifold as it would be a very easy mod. -

Why is the 1.8 manifold not worth it? Just for curiosity. Are the runners to small? Plenum to small? Runners to long? -

boostinmini replied to boostinmini's topic in MPI/Standalone Trials and Tribulations
The way to do it is to cut off the flange and weld a starion one to it. What about my other question about the lasser 1.8 man? What mazda is that gasket from? Is it the 2.2 or the 2.6 12 valve?
