  1. It's not that I want you to do anything, Shelby. In fact, it's not likely to happen during your personal life-span. But I don't think ingoring it and figuring "they can do whatever they want over there because it's so far away from us", is the right thing to do.

I believe it will happen just like the "housing crisis"....America will fold under it's own debt. As it is now, we're drowning and drowning in debt. America is broke, and it's bound to happen that our debtors will forclose on us.

A trend toward "self reliance" is going to be beneficial, because the gov't will crumble. and we may be face to face with 100,000,000 Chinese coming to take what's righfully theirs.....if it goes that long without some sort of global nuclear event. In that light, being able to feed yourself, defend yourself, and care for your family and children, without the comforts provided by the infrastructure, is likely to be necessary. We may all be forced into the wild to live off the land, stockpile supplies, and fight for our lives, right here on our own soil.

I believe that this muslim Brotherhood will have a massive uprising that will topple country after country, like dominos. And we won't be the dominant superpower that we once were.

We're more like a runaway ice cream truck with Krusty the Clown at the wheel.......with no real control whatsoever.

But then again, I've had a few to many and may just be talking out of my tail anyway. BUT!!! Cal is 100% correct, this has nothing to do with democracy!

This is a funny joke but at the same time very sad for us americans:

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel , "Pick up your shovels, mount your tails & camels, & I will lead you to the Promised Land."

Nearly 75 years ago, (when Welfare was introduced) Roosevelt said, "Lay down your shovels, sit on your tails, & light up a Camel, this is the Promised Land."

Today, Congress has stolen your shovel, taxed your tails, raised the price of Camels & mortgaged the Promised Land!

I was so depressed last night thinking about Health Care Plans, the economy, the wars, lost jobs, savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc . . . I called a Suicide Hotline.

I had to press 1 for English.

I was connected to a call center in Pakistan. I told them I was suicidal. They got excited & asked if I could drive a truck...

  2. so Rusty and others just what is it you'd all have us do ???

Many sons and daughters of this great nation have sacrificed and even died for our freedom and for the freedom of others, no one religion or group has the right to take that from us, as I see it, our tolerance to extremists is our biggest enemy, how can we clean house in other countries when our own is pretty messy because of our tolerance to freedom enemies within?

In this video, where's the freedom to speech and religion? Tolerance will lead us to a life of fear, not freedom.

  3. You need a Crown Victoria. My car stomps through the snow like it owns the joint. It turns, maneuvers, stops, and accelerates very exceptionally for being RWD. Mine does have snow tires all around though. Still...she's a beast. Best winter car ever.

I used to have an '03 crownvic with snow tires and it too did fine except when stopping uphill, it spun the tires forever just to get going again. One time driving through this icy canyon at 50mph it suddenly did a 360

then a 180 going sideways towards a rock wall, deep snow stopped it before testing the side airbags. That's when I noticed my traction control was active even at that speed, kept it turned off since and no more

    surprises.

  4. Snow is our white gold here in Summit County Colorado, the more the merrier! Just hope this year we actually get spring, last year our mud season lasted forever, we went from winter to a very short summer! Very bad for conquest owners. So let it snow when in season and then a long break to bring out the stallions!
  5. wow -20, and we complain when it's 50 to 60 here.

today is 45 or 113 in your language.

I don't mind the extreme cold but the wind I detest, wind chill at least for me is the worst, it can dip well below zero by several double digits!

Send us some of that 113 heat towards us, its freezing the paint off our conquests!

  6. wheres them idoits that said we'd have a super mild winter this yr http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif

I could use those idiots to help me shovel snow, Saturday I spent almost 3 hours clearing snow, big piles of snow drifts everywhere!

  7. Haha yea I could see that. .sorry guys. :/

Nothing to be sorry about, I'm glad you did it. This is not easy to draw and much less to visualize a modern day conquest, I do like that your sketch didn't come out looking too much like the original.

For my taste a modern day conquest should be a completely new body style with very few hints of the old style, just enough for the trained eye to notice.

  8. This reminds me, we used to have these 2 cats that would race around the house and part of their course was the bath tub. So one day me and my brother filled the tub with water and waited until the cats got wild running around and sure enough, splash, splash! Man, the mean look on their faces  they were not happy at all, race cancelled due to flooding! It was kind of cruel but no harm done, wish I had taken a video though.
  9. I've actually been working on a drawing for a modernized StarQuest haven't made to much progress but I'm on it. Got the rear and side pretty much summed up but having trouble on the front. I'll try and get on it again. And if I like the turn out I'll surely post it here. ^_^

When you're done, like it or not post it anyway. Same for Texas Tieaga, I'd like to see both sketches. Who knows, maybe we can spark something at Mitsubishi to consider bringing it back :) Sometimes dreams do come true
