  1. I am selling my 88 mitsu Starion

     

    MOST PARTS HAVE LESS THEN 1K ON THEM

    Car has 132,xxx

    TEP 16g turbo(14 psi),TEP DP and turbo xs boost controller

    New injector clips

    rebuilt throttle body

    New water pump

    K&N filter

    New Diff Bushings

    F1 Stage 3 clutch

    all fluids changed front to rear

    New hoses

    New coil,cap,rotor,plugs,wires

    SS braided brake lines all the way around

    slotted/cross drilled rotors all the way around

    New Rear calipers

    boost gauge/nw band a/f

    cd player

    interior is near mint condition minus a little wear on driver seat

     

    cons:

    needs a new vacuum advance(napa can get)

    some rust in bottom corners passenger side

    someone stole the sunroof glass

     

    I picked this car up last winter,it had been sitting in storage for 10 years after the original turbo siezed

    and went to town on it

    I love the car and it is quick....but I miss my muscle cars and want back into one

    willing to do a partial or full trade on a 77-81 trans am or

    $3500 firm

    I have well over that in the car and can privide most reciepts

  2. I didnt know about those jets, but I think you would want to have that hardened crank. Im guessing you could probably use the crank from your current block though.

     

    yea was just gonna use the original crank...if its still good

     

     

     

  3. you can use -any- g54B block, other than the piston cooling jets, they are all the same. From the mid 70's though the last blocks made in the early 90's (in austrailia)

     

    Things that are unique to the starion bottom end are those cooling jets, improved oil pump (late 1984), low compression pistons, and the nitirde hardened crank.

     

    If you don't mind loosing the cooling jets, you can use any G54B block in your build.

     

    If you want to keep those jets, the stairon block is your only choice...

    I new to these cars so I'm still learning.....would it make a big diff without the cooling jets?

  4. None. There are many cars that used a very similar version, but none of them have the piston cooler jets like the starion/conquet G54B. There were millions of G54B's made, but few with those jets.

     

     

    so cannot use any other block(literilly just the block) for a rebuild in our cars?

     

    My friends car that we just bought has a whole the size of a grapefruit thru it

  5. We have two different kind of pumps.

     

    I think the 87 and earlier cars had the nipple on the pipe before water pump and the 88-89 has the nipple right on the pump.

     

    I figure the 88-89 is better designed?

     

    You could always drill a new hold :D

    yea I thought of it....I was gonna keep it but it would be nice if I got a responce at least saying sorry

     

    I figure I'll get it machined eventually and use it....managed to get one from NAPA luckily

     

    had the car 4 months still haven't reg'd it yet (was in storage for 10 years before I got it)
