  1. From the way it looks, you can place an order, along with a CC Number, and once 20 orders are placed they will make the guages and send them out.  They will not charge your Card until they send the guages.  So, to answer your question, it is still available, but who knows how long it will take to get 20 orders.

Maybe if anyone seriously interested would let the rest of us know, it may promt others to order.

  2. Unless you want them perfect, keep an eye on here or EBay for a nice set.  They can be had for a lot less than re-upholstering.  If you plan on keeping the car a long time, you may look into pre-88 style seats.  IMO, they are much more comfortable and have less wear problems.

There, that's the right post   ::)

  3. not to put a damper on this but the reason they didnt come like that stock is its not legal. atleast not in va.  law says that you can have foglights on when your low beams are on and when you hit hight beams they have to go off.  When they were imported for them to sell everywhere they had to pass this.  Thats how all new cars are.  Â

I don't think this is a federal law.  If it is, it's not enforced around here.  I am always seeing cars driving with just parking and fog lights on.  My '91 T-Bird SC had to have the headlights on for the fogs to be on, but my '93 Olds Bravada will allow them to come on with just the parking lights.  Who knows, I don't think it hurts anything, and it looks cool.  If we could just put enough candlepower behind there to eliminate the pop ups.

  4. great idea, it is a little cramped not to mention very little head room.  anybody 6'3" and autox'ed their car before? i dont think i could wear a helmet inside there.  driving isnt too bad once you get accustomed to it but getting in and out is tough. if you guys figure it out let me know.

I was actually surprised at how easily I could get out of my 'Quest.  I'm 6'2, and drove a '91 Thunderbird SC before I bought my '89 Quest.  The T-Bird had a lot more room once I was in, but was kinda tough to get in/out of.  The drivers seat in the 'Quest is a pretty decent fit (with early style seats), but the pass side could stand to move back a few inches.  It would be nice to be able to stretch my legs on an 8 hr trip.

  5. My brother and I have considered this too.  The only way I can think to do it would be moving the seat back on the track.  I haven't looked to see if they are bolted or riveted though.  Im sure it can be done, it just might take some imagination.

  6. Yes, this is an old thread, but being new, I had to put in my 2 cents.  You can safely and easily go with high power fog lights (aftermarket kits) by adding a relay.  Switch the relay with the stock power wire, and run as big of guage wire as you need from the battery to power it up. You may want to add an inline fuse, but that's purty easy, too.  Hell, do it right and you can just use your fog lights w/o popping up the search lights.
